And I am mostly an indy player to I sell that stuff on the market
in which you compete, thus PvP. and if there werenāt any ship on ship violence,ā¦you would not be needed.
But I donāt grief anyone, and not all ships are PvP, some are indy some are mining and some are indy and logistics. None of this is PvP
It is not griefing, if you think it is griefing then you, your self was done a great disservice as to helping you grasp the game as it is.
To bring this back to point, newbies need the full breadth of how things work. Whether they chose to be industrial or whatever, they have to understand as to what makes things work.
On-boarding a new player should have this initial part clarified.
Battleorcas are fun though.
My ma lives in one.
What planet are you on. If you kill another player you are grieving them unless they agree to it.
I mean at this point, you are a perfect example of why mentorship can be a bad thing in eve.
not in this game.
And with the emphasisā¦GAME
I hate to say it but your wasting your time. This PVP crowd is so convinced that everything in EVE is PvP that they will argue and troll you to death over it. Infact, they are so convinced of this that even logging out to take a dump is PvP because while your taking a dump you are denying someone PvPā¦ which is also a form of PvP.

And the topic is once again obscured.
Is there even a concensus as to whether CCP enforced or player led is the best for our little nooblings?
You are absolutely right. I donāt know how I survived 8 years in this game without doing PvP Like I said before I donāt prevent newbies from PvP I just tell them they need to find someone else for help with that.

So teaching new players how to avoid it should be on the syllabus, right?
It is true that EVE is one of those games where the lines between PvE and PvP get blurred sometimes. In EVE, PvP and PvE are linked and inseparable. Even if you pay real money for your isk, your game is affected by someone else grinding isk who may bring equal or even larger resources to the table.
But time for a thought experiment. There is a game out there where it is 4 āpreyā players vs. 1 āpredatorā player. The goal of the prey is to escape the killing area, while the goal of the predator is to kill at least one, but preferably all the prey. This type of gameplay is undoubtedly PvP, all players know thatās what they signed up for. However, doesnāt this bear a striking resemblance to the predator/prey āsub-gameā within high sec in EVE? High sec dwellers scurrying around being productive and at the same time dodging gankers, and happy if they survive another day without getting ganked?
In the end, the important thing is that new players are made aware of this āsub-gameā within the game, either through a better NPE, or a better mentoring process. Itās understandable that if a player gets dropped into a predator/prey game but are unaware of the rules or that they signed on for it, that there would be a lot of confusion and/or dissatisfaction.
Maybe you should have thought of that before you referred to PvP in a PvP game as āgriefā.
This is now a thread created by a care bear troll.
So you are a new player, who bought the char, and a liar, or you have Alzheimerās.
These were all ganks I NEVER looked to do PvP. If you bothered to do your research you fine that most of those were mining ships, capsules and logistics. The only time I did engage in PVP was when I was in a Null sec corp that required it. I hated it. I also did some missile battery and other defense structures to get out of Null. I donāt consider them PvP. Mr Salt name applies to you because you keep trying to goad into something. So who is the liar!
