Way to go … Ruining the game one step at a time … Not everyone plays to pvp… Some of us play to mine and do industry … First yall screw us on that by nerfing ores and now yall are making it harder on us by increasing the possibility of being ganked thanks to lower resistances … Not to mention, even in PVE, yall are basically making tier 4 missions and ratting nearly impossible with these changes, especially for solo players … Yall are continuously stepping away from the whole premise of the game to appease a certain crowd … Don’t be surprised when yall lose a lot of long time players over this bs.

Thats my point… “that final part also does not required any movement since only few of trigs are left and they pose not much danger.” … your own words. and i’m not just talking about trig content. PVE over the years has turned into “gimmes” rather than adventures that present real threats due to the inherent nature of players using fits that ensure success no matter the decisions of the player. These same players have a tendency to say that "Eve " PVE is boring… of course they do… they run ships in sites with little to no risk of loss.

There is excitement here about this approach because not only does it lower Capital survivability, it also diminishes the overall power of logistics and will make modules focused on speed and damage a more attractive option. The hope is to see bloodier fights, less stalemates, and a huge cross-sectional shift in the fitting meta.

The resist module power reduction will naturally favor Tech II hulls slightly, and as these ships already dominate the fleet meta, Battleships will be given an upgrade to keep them competitive while adjusting critical bonuses for ships like the Muninn, Loki, and Eagle.

Or maybe CCP turned a blind eye on your asic miners?

Stress not my friend. Ever since the Drake got killed the first time, missiles have been less and less relevant.

CCP forgetting that missiles also have short range brawling options is not an omission. It is quite intentional.

Beautifully well-stated; I hope more people can understand this, and the devs read it and appreciate that many of us understand and appreciate what they’re doing.

Ewwww missiles.

In my 10 years of EVE I’ve only ever skilled some base skill for missiles …
… and only ever used them a few times until I realized how stupid they are.

You have to wait for the damage to apply!

How silly!

One of the specific stated goals was to align high reward PVE and its relative risk with other activities in EVE.

In many such cases, the challenge has been solved, and we think that its time to issue a new challenge to players doing those activities.

We have faith in you!.

This is an excellent update.

Super EHP needed to be nerfed for a long time now, and doing so will make it easier to kill these ships, which should help with concerns about supercapital proliferation. The only thing needed now is a specific type of anomaly or ratting spawn site in systems to give them a reason to be in space besides PvP.

Removing supercapital support tubes is a great change that immediately makes regular carriers useful and provides them with the role capability they were lacking. Getting Aeons and Wyverns in line fighter bay size wise means they won’t be laughed at in fleets anymore.

Munnin nerf is useful, but no so bad that the ship becomes valueless.

Anything that buffs T1 battleships is great, and I’m looking forward to seeing more Baltec fleets out again.

There is something for everybody in this patch - small gang guys should like it, big nullblocs should like it, industry types should like it. Only the folks whose permanent state is “OMG I hate you, I’m unsubbing all my accounts” will find this patch with nothing in it to like.

This is one of the most shortsighted posts I have ever seen. You have no idea what this is going to do yet you post “mission accomplished” good job GWB.

Hope devs are having additional plans to back up the slugfest they intended otherwise fewer people will dare fights and more go hoarding.

Stated goals? New player retention is a stated goal. Mission rework is a stated goal. New content has arrived with new NPC AI and considerably more challenging sites, which, at the higher tiers, may now be impossible.

How do any of these changes line up together?

Why do Trigs, sleepers, drifters, diamonds and all the other rats need such a basic buff?

Is there a strategy here other than merely irritating PVE players and if so what is it?
