They’ve made it clear they’re trying to reduce all of the faucets, mineral and isk, into the game. This helps do that. That’s the apparent reason.
This comment is hardly readable, but I’ll throw in a good riddance for good order.
Give us great Belts and Income!
You just made a case for why newbies should join corps and participate in fleets sooner rather than later, and get lone wolves to do the same.
CCP this game is now too hard, please let me make isk by doing nothing at all, otherwise i will unsub. I don’t want to think just give me isk please
Project Discovery. Requires 0 ISK 0 SP 0 Assets and 0 Undocking.
Still too hard, i might need to think, please make it easier
What like incursions? Also, why the hell should I team up all the time? We were having a discussion about Marauders and team/solo play recently and I really enjoy soloing in minor conduits in one, it’s a real challenge. What is the point of the nastiest ship class (T3Cs not withstanding) flyable in hi-sec if it is not usable solo against top end content? There are better ships to fleet up with. Where’s the strategy in all this?
Wow, that is harsh.
Because ships blowing up to gatecamps isn’t a stalemate. A stalemate would be two groups sitting on opposite sides of the gate refusing to jump into one another.
So if you think gatecamp and stalemate are synonymous… you’re getting at least one of those words wrong, and you managed to at least spell ‘gatecamp’ and ‘stalemate’ correctly, so I went with the one you misspelled.
This will remove so much content - no more people super ratting, no more rorquals mining, ore is at an all time low so fewer ships will be built, etc.
You can’t keep taking away without adding and expect people to keep playing.
This could perhaps become another ‘blackout incident’ - I’m just looking forward to next fall/winter when you bois at CCP will have to do another crawl of shame and revert some of this (while probabaly finding another scapegoat to fire, just like you did with CCP Falcon)
You mean fleet battles in null?
Unfortunately watching wallet/personal net worth ticking up is part of the game’s loop
It is imbued into this game by design
You may redirect your sarcasm toward CCP now.
Good god, but yet some how
In price or volume?
Either are good, which is it?
So the price will go up?
Excellent
Very well said.
cap changes are nice but once again u have a chance to buff Blops battle ships a little and u dont.
give the dam things the scan res bonus as well since u know they for some stupid reason they get a scan res nerf from fitting the cloak they always have to fit. CCP if u hate black ops battle ships just say so.
It’s not the vets (the people posting on this forum) that you need to listen to on this one. It’s the silent players, the new folks, who already have a really tough time surviving to a point they can be self-sufficient. Think about the changes from a new player’s perspective:
- Significant reduction in mineral availability = more expensive ships.
- Lowering of resist mods makes it more difficult to earn isk
New players who are flat broke will have to pay more and make less, meaning they will be more likely to be frustrated and walk before they get a chance to see just how awesome Eve can be.
There are other ways to align things. Among them:
- Reduce the value of the top tier rewards from obscene to great
- Buff damage on all ships but destroyers and not for artillery type weapons (reduce damage there) and stealth bombers, so that the lack of tank thing isn’t taken advantage of by gankers and alpha fleet comp (3-2-1 kill, 3-2-1 kill isn’t a ‘thing’. People actually need to dogfight a bit in fleets)
- Increase the respawn rate of ore belts and stop letting NPCs mine them out (high risk - medium reward for belt mining)
- Significantly increase the cost of maintaining systems, constellations and regions in null sec on an exponential curve, to the point that even the largest alliances can’t command more than a region without going broke (encouraging competition for systems or at least preventing vast swaths of space being owned by one entity, thereby minimizing low risk high reward pve - a stated goal yes?)
This change you’re proposing is not a band-aid. You’re giving Eve a dose of arsenic in the form of poisoning new players and casual players. You do it at your peril (and unfortunately mine, as again I really like the game)
Except all the content they are bringing out requires ever higher levels of isk and risk. How is this content to be accessed by players old and new if it isn’t isk positive to run?
CCP once again tries to fix a single specific problem in the game and instead hits the entire game meta with a sledgehammer, well done.
So a few thoughts on this “change”, this will not fix anything besides generating more kills and rewarding gank tanking. It will make every single PvE activity in the game harder to do including the new events that CCP likes to release that are supposed to be “newbro” friendly. Burners, Incursions, Invasions, Strongholds, and Event site runners will all need to change for the worse as most of these activities are already balanced on the thin knife edge of tank and gank for their fits.
Fleet fight meta is already heavily based on alpha doctrines which are completely unaffected by this reduction in tank as it just means you need fewer capsuleers to reach the all important “critical mass” but the fleet with more members will still have the definite advantage. Loosely speaking it might help small gangs pick off a member of a larger fleet and gankers kill off traveling capsuleers but those are the only benefits I see to such a change.
The heart of this comment in English
Personally, I don’t find anything interesting in this idea … Guys, who invent and work on changes, you would (do better)creating better new things than breaking what you have already done …
