I am chatting with people right now who speculate CCP literally deliberately seeks and DESTROYS what people enjoy! DESTROYS ENJOYMENT I kid you not! And they are not kidding or being tongue in cheek.
That is not a good look for a company that in essence SOLD ENJOYMENT!

Did people “adapt” and continue to play after BLACKOUT?
Obviously some did but some CANCEL OMEGA SUBSCRIPTIONS AND NEVER RETURN.
Some QUIT EVE FOREVER and NEVER RETURN.
Helpful hint losing customers is never a good idea unless you are certain whatever move you make gains more than you lost.

Being afraid to do changes that are good for the long term health of the game for fear of loosing customers is also a bad idea.
CCP are not responsible for people coming up with crazy conspiracy theories, that seems to be far more common these days, they would not have remotely survived the CCP of old with all their conspiracy theories. That sort of speculation is basically the Anti-Vax movement. With no basis in any reality at all.

So after listening to CCP tell us for around a year they wanted to nerf capitals and make subcaps able to survive against them they come up with this patch that will nerf every subcap in the game in whatever they want to do with them… from hauling to mining to pve to pvp… also solo players are so screwd. What an awful idea this patch is.

Bet neither of you clowns,Knowledge Miner and Nevyn Auscent who snarked at my “losing customers is never a good idea” has ever started and run a successful business. I’ve been doing it REPEATEDLY since I was 23. Not some dinky little lawn services either. 80% were successful and were either sold AT A PROFIT or I still have them! That’s why I have time to mess around on EVE.
You certainly wouldn’t know this but that puts me on the “wrong” side of the 80/20 rule. Most of us who do this sort of thing only have 20 percent success with 80% failed businesses.
You’re either employees (not that there’s anything wrong with that) or were unemployed even before beerbug
Furthermore, point was of my stating the gist of a conversation I didn’t start, but was a part of. which I stated rather obliquely is another business lesson.
There seems to be an attitude that there is only a vocal minority who are pissed off about this patch. These people haven’t posted about rage at this patch but they are most certainly, clearly and obviously PISSED OFF!
A business reality is when you create one pissed off customer you have most likely created 200 more. I don’t feel like going into details why this is true ,but it most certainly is.

As a fellow serial entrepreneur (co-founded 5 tech businesses, sold 2, 1 current - over 15 yrs old) - I fully agree with these sentiments! CCP are trying to increase customer wallet share (ISK sinks = more realworld currency for PLEX + Subs, but fully ignore CLV). They certainly have gained lots of newbros (over 7M hits on their latest quadrant-2 video too) - yet we never see Tranquility get remotely close to 50K users. The initial appeal is big, then comes the mid-term experience - and bang! They are shipping as many customers out the back-door as they are attracting through the front. This rubbish “rebalance” patch (a joke to create PvE paper-jets before quadrant-2) will only continue their player-base stagnation.

No, those ships won’t keep their resists. There is no mention whatsoever to anything like that in the dev blog, which is a clear indication that CCP will nerf those too. Moreover, anything else you may think of that is not mentioned in the dev blog either will be nerfed too…
Thanks and well done in the real world. What I don’t get is this. You, like me, have real world experience in the toughest lifestyle there is outside of being in the military.
Not only that, there is RECENT evidence that what we, and those like us who KNOW are telling them, specifically BLACKOUT and the aftermath!
Yet people will sit there and argue with us and snark at us and CCP will ignore us.
You, like me, probably got where you are and more importantly manage to survive and succeed is because:
1)Listen to people who been there and done that. “The fool learns from his mistakes, the wise man learns from the mistakes of others.”
2)Listen to your clients! If you don’t. SOMEONE ELSE WILL!
3)There’s always either someone else selling or there eventually will be. It might not be the same as what you’re selling,it might be COMPLETELY different, but the customer might go to him anyway, especially if you’ve given him reason to!

There NEVER was anything like a ‘PVE favor’…especially not for ‘a decade’.
EVER…
PVP was ALWAYS favored in any possible way…
What you do is a simple,easy to see through,falsification of the history of this game…
PVP does not DESERVE and NEED this huge buff since they have been spoiled since the game was started…
