No mate, if you arent taking part you’re not excluded or disqualified, you’re simply not taking part and thats fine.
I am glad we agree that my corp mate just isn’t taking part then, despite your earlier word choice.
The event was great fun!
I took part in the exploration aspect, zooming around looking for all the hidden things and then puzzling over how to actually get to said hidden things.
They weren’t joking about the container contents either, a couple of locations had 500m+ in them and there were a number of locations with smaller amounts scattered around, some of which someone else had already cleaned out.
I also found someone’s Venture at a sun and snagged it too, though I don’t think it was officially part of the event ![]()
Huge respect to the event organisers - the amount of time it would have taken to set up just the caches would have been immense, and there was all the mining and the shooting on top of that.
So, thanks to El Geo and friends for the event, thanks to all the sponsors, and thanks to everyone else who took part - dodging bubbles and racing competing explorers was fun ![]()
Thanks man, means a lot that you enjoyed it! As there was a lot of isk and plex left over I added a couple more freelance jobs and some hiest rules!
Looks like a couple of people are taking part so now its all on the miners/haulers, lets see if they can take all the remaining isk or the hesit players take it all!
At this moment in time Ore has been mined but players are going to have to do better to fill the order, although so far not a single indy kill has been made!
Jokerschaos seems to be carrying this event on his shoulders so far, with his corp (Voidcharter Industries) making a real effort to get that Ore delivered!
In other news, several mining, hauling and transport ships are now on the heist board!
552 plex being sent out to the top haulers later today, another 522 tomorrow and on Friday for the players who deliver the most Ore on those days!
Me again! Ok the spam will stop now as the event has now wrapped up, but I would like to drop this here for anyone who’s interested:
Righto, the first Syndicate DMZ is officially done and dusted. Here are the winners and final wrap-up:

Thanks for the Overall MVP, it was quite unexpected!
Then again I didn’t expect, for a normally high-sec player who frets over being smart-bombed and ambushed anytime I go outside high-sec, to be calmly (mostly) sending a freighter full of ore through a range of different security systems and ultimately into (and then, when empty, back out of) Syndicate to deliver the Crokite.
It was certainly a cool experience, one of many in the event, and the challenges presented particularly in finding, mining, and delivering uncompressed ore were quite intriguing.
Your post-event write-up was really interesting to read through too, esp. about how long it took to setup the exploration side of things. Hopefully FC will provide more tools and/or support for players running that style of event (and other events) in the future, as it is exceptionally fun, and exceptionally rare.
It’s also got me thinking about what else is out there in Syndicate, other than PI, to take a look at and the discussions that have been had about potential future events also sound like they’d be fun to participate in.
Thanks again to everyone who helped organise the event, and to everyone who took part!
