T2 Battleships

Battleships that are immune to dscan are going to be used for mid-warp smartbomb platforms or to camp the ESS.

Neither sounds like fun engageable gameplay to me.

Dscan-immune recons are balanced because they are mostly supportive ships that have little solo power, unlike battleships.

What is the point of a support ship that is dscan immune

To sneak around and do recon things to support allies.

You can use any ship for that especially if it has cov ops cloak

No, because other ships show up on dscan while you sneak up on them through the mission or ESS gate.

You seem to be describing solo pvp

If it is to be an EWAR BS or even if not, to keep with the surprise BS idea, why not make it able to fit one special module specific to this specific class, a module than can be used to select the outgoing signature of the ship so it can masquerade as another ship class on d-scan? This would also help in this recon role without being d-scan immune.

Yes, because tackle who goes ahead of a fleet is ‘solo’. /s

That Huginn or Lachesis isn’t going to do much killing on their own, they support the fleet behind it.

The reason people use Lachesis in fleets is not because its dscan imune

You are describing a different role of the Lachesis.

It’s also used in roles specifically for the dscan immunity.

Like what?

Like I just described above. Read please.

You are useless as usual  Thanks anyway

Here, since scrolling up apparently is too hard for you:

ESS robbers will run as soon as you put a praxis on the entrance. You dont need no dscan immunity for it

Guess why they run?

(Because your praxis shows up on dscan)

Conbat recons can catch those players.

So you like to sneak up on ESS robbers but are against new T2 recon battleship?

It is good that sneaking up on people is possible in EVE.

It is bad if battleships can sneak up on people.

Do you understand the difference?

You aren’t exactly going to be sneaking up on anyone in a battleship with a horrendous lock time…

Do you agree with that statement?

I do not.

There are situations where lock time matters very little, like within an ESS or while smartbombing. Which happen to be two easy but not exhaustive examples I came up with before in this thread.
