I play on MacBook Air M4 24GB RAM
First started playing on maximum graphics settings and had no problem → temperature ~75°C.
Then switched to minimal settings to try two windows simultaneously → ~50°C
Then switched back to one window and max settings → immediate jump to +100°C on both GPU and CPU.
Deleting Cache folder as per CCP support advice didn’t help. Anyone had similar issues? I want high graphics back 
i have an I Mac, you will not get what you want.
CCP shot themselves in the foot with these graphics updates.
When did that happen? Is it some of the recent patches?
You can build a PC that is capable of handling the demands at low temps. Mac Books aren’t cut out for gaming.
interesting that’s your take away- that we buy a PC…
Games shouldn’t be held back because of macs. PCs kept going. Macs got left behind.
I recommend building a PC, not buying one. Macs are bought. PCs are built one component at a time.
