There was a change of some form that broke my previous “old wine and don’t update the launcher” method of running Eve on Linux. After a brief dabble with Eve Anywhere, which is impressive but not perfect (US keyboard! and no persistence of client state is irritating) I decided to bite the bullet with a wine update and clean install.
Flawless - (Kubuntu 20.04 + Winehq-devel 7.0 rc3 as I recall).
A big Thank-You to those that have worked on the Wine patching, very much appreciated.
