The Big Crunch

So the route changed?

Same number of jumps, you just don’t like the fact that it’s not 100% high sec anymore…

Yes. Not fogetting jita to amarr isn’t the only route that got longer.

Rolling blackouts may delay jump traffic. By that I mean The Big Crunch is coming for the purse.

I too believe the price hike was VERY poorly timed.

CCP is being battered by geopolitics.
Astronomical energy prices are hurting both the server and the served.
Without being explicit; now there is pressure to cut economic ties to a market that they have spent a lot of effort cultivating.
It’s a real bind. If I were H I’d feel like the walls were closing in on me.

So while I like the idea of re-arranging the deck chars on this titanic game in principle, simply keeping it afloat may require more focus at the moment.

Lol i have found what i needed and think the entirety of the game should be this way because everyone else plays wrong.

The question really is, ‘Do more people want to play the way I just proposed, with constant strife and combat and action’ or ‘Do more people want to play in the meadows without having to worry about wolves?’ CCP will not marginalize either group; CCP will go where the money is.

If there’s more player interest, and therefore revenue, to be derived in a Big Crunch scenario, what do you feel will happen? Think CCP will pass up the opportunity to earn more greenbacks? (That is not a loaded question).

Uh… yeah, actually. It’s why so many worked to make null as safe as it is. And why they all pissed thermals when local was removed.

Simple observation: pvp costs a lot of isk. Ask any group that has been through a period of active war. Once they pull out and are back home, almost all significant activity is about resource gathering and manufacturing, to replace what was lost. There’s a need for increased safety during that period, not for increased combat. Otherwise, the pvp simply dies out because of too many issues with replacements.

And that is indeed the reason why.

I would even expect a contraction of the map to hasten the inevitable outcome if destruction and production are not balanced.

Did I made you ragequit with that pod kill or was that your gift for goodbye?

Well don’t worry, if you come back CCP will retrieve even biomassed characters if you are paying customer with a history of buying PLEX  .

i agree we should have fewer empty systems

#warclonesarecoming

I genuinely cannot wait for the days where warclones can board ships such as freighters ,jump freighters, capitals, supers and titans, loot their stuff and blow them up <3

You significantly over-estimate your own importance.

A few years ago, during the DDoS, I lost a ship due to a disconnection almost certainly caused by the DDoS. Not very expensive, only about 500 mil and I asked for it to be replaced. It’s a game right? They refused. At that point I decided to un-sub all my accounts down to one.

The one remaining account I kept going using plex. I subbed that one for 12 months. A few months in, only having one account, the deactivated star-gates and therefore longer routes really started to piss me off because of travel times. I have better things to do with my time, watching paint dry, contemplating life, sitting quietly, sleeping, etc.

My last 12 months ran out about 18 days ago. I bio-massed all my characters, and have filed for all my accounts to be deleted under GDPR, they will be unrecoverable. This will happen in approximately 8 days.

That pod was already dead. Have a gold star.

Well, for a second I thought that ganking makes players quit. Thanks for putting my fears to rest…

Sometimes it can make for entertaining gameplay.
