This image is from the video and its purpose is to get you to watch it… Them’s the fax bruh.

Also, these people are poor with no power compared to the people who actually hold power.

After reading the source info, I’m not so sure of the ‘Fax’ on this…

You mean the wannabe rich list? Yeah they do their best on that but its not perfect. I think the overall points of economics are much more relevant than the list… The channel isnt really an EvE channel. Its a finance channel which means its a neutral third party. It just gets people personally invested to have lists with names. People care more about the list and being on it than the economy and thats ok too. What info did you have an issue with btw?

What is ‘manufactruring’?

They could have… Made it the ■■■■ up. Thats a potential source, one of many listed right there, which needs to be mentioned. There’s also no real way to know the wealth of The Mittani.
I cant even count my own wealth. I doubt the math on my own values. Its a range at best. You would have to ask the man who made the video for 100% answers on that.

EVE has no wealth inequality issue because, unlike in RL, in EVE you can become that rich as well without any issues. There are no governments, no other players, no regulations, no roadblocks, no limitations in place that prevent you from gathering trillions and trillions over time.

Conversely, implementing things like wealth taxes, hangar maintenance taxes, and redistribution taxes will make it harder to gather that kind of wealth.

Wealth Taxes? Thats called System Cost Index along with other things like protection contracts and gank objectives.

For most highsec businesses, the current cost of operation is near the point of no profits at all in many markets. In fact. many CEOs are simply buying PLEX to provide content to their members because they run a corp which operates in the red.

We dont need wealth taxes. Inflation is the enemy of old money. What we need is less ISK sinks being directed at the poor and smaller corporations. Let them grow.

Ill try to explain using the mortgage on your house irl. After 30 years living and looking at your debt sit at $400 thousand dollars in the mortgage account, Does $400k buy you the same house now as it did 30 years ago? You debt shrank due to inflation and the wealth of the old money that sat there… got very small. Inflation shrinks personal debts at the expense of the debtor.

The wealthy in this game are so wealthy that what CCP does in the NES has more effect on their portfolio values than any possible profits they could even add in a single day otherwise. It becomes a drop in the ocean.

We dont need to attack the wealthy, do that with inflation. we need to raise up our poor. Higher wages and good leadership in very small classrooms. Lower costs of living in highsec.
Fix the system cost index to facilitate more players in a system. Give them back bonuses to industry and raise outputs of the PvE content. Lower the weights of industrial goods. Provide better roads. Thats how you fix highsec and we have not even started to talk about PvP.

Greater money supply produces inflation. People have more money…but its no advantage because things cost more.

A possible solution to ISK inflation is for PvE content to provide ‘tokens’. A certain fixed number of tokens gets you a ship, or a module, etc. That way the price of the products can go up, but your tokens still have the same buying power. The ability of people to buy tokens ( only from other players ) when ship prices are lower would safeguard the investment against inflation. They are always trade-able for the same ship, module, etc. This would be a form of price control.

To some extent it would be an extension of the fact that one already gets modules, etc, from combat content anyway.

I’m in the top 0.01%!

I realize I’m fighting against all of the things everyone’s been taught. That’s because the people teaching you these things are not on your side.

G-lo… Inflation works in favor of the poor. Inflation is the worst thing a wealthy person wants to happen. I realize the opposite message is spread through the public. There’s a reason for that.

Inflation makes all money less valuable. The more you have the less valuable you become.

The alleviation for the poor comes from the burdens not being unfairly allocated toward them.

A good example, if understanding your mortgage doesn’t work, would be paying a 10,000 Plex fee in this game would mean nothing to some. If you start adding a 10,000 Plex price to the most general products in this game… Well then it becomes a product only for the rich.

When it comes to starting a business and getting a little bit of the pie yourself… You will find that very hard to do for those that don’t start out wealthy. This disadvantage is put in place on purpose to preserve wealth.

If I wanted to preserve only my wealth and I did not care about those who didn’t have it… I certainly would not talk about inflation as being a good thing. And by the way don’t get me wrong on the ideas I shared with my own words earlier.

I just need you to understand the concept of inflation. I didn’t say it was the answer. It would be a factor and I listed its effects so that others would understand. (The Federal reserve has decided that 2% is healthy fyi.)

I understand why you made the points you make. You created a full loop which seems to justify your thoughts. But $10 is not the same to the poor as it is to the rich. And the $10 is measured as a ratio against your standard income which is your purchasing power.

If you want an even better example…
If a millionaire is playing Eve online and he is playing against people that make minimum wage…
Which one has a greater advantage in the game? That’s called purchasing power.
This is why Visa exists.

It is the heart of capitalism.
It means that each individual part produces a whole that is greater than the sum of the parts otherwise. The reason this is is because of specialization. If you give a job to one man he will become good at it. He will become better at it than all the rest. In this way he benefits society as a whole. A jack of all trades is the master of none. Put your Aces in their places.

Your income in the game won’t render you hungry, homeless, unhealthy, or inappropriately dressed if you don’t make enough money.

EVE additionally has the quirk of wealth injection. Anybody can buy themselves into the wealth in the game (and in a lot of cases that’s where players’ ISK comes from). It’s completely divorced from who you are, and what you do in such a case.

You know it’s pretty rare that you and I agree.

I guess I should mention that I have met many younger players in the game that do not have access to full-time job due to school mostly and sometimes illnesses. Most of them were playing on the test server because they were not in the position to be swiping a Visa. So while you still may have your clothes on your back in the game… You would be relying on the welfare of others to even have a decent frigate.

It is very rare that you meet someone that is not using Visa and still has wealth. I know and understand that this is the business model for CCP to make money but it has become cancerous. The leadership at the top of this game is not swiping Visa. If anything the transaction would be in reverse in any way possible if legitimate.

You know it’s pretty easy to catch a lot of the Visa guys lying about their wealth and how they maintain it. For example I’ve had some guys tell me they got it playing hypernet… I have over 65,000 hypernets and must have missed their name every step. Those guys all know each other.

“You imagine that the empath, the one who has borne the pain of others for so long, will strike back with the same cruelty they have endured. But no, resentful empaths do not raise the sword. Their revenge is stranger, deeper, far more unsettling. For when the empath finally awakens to resentment, they withdraw their gift. They stop carrying the burdens that were never theirs. They stop offering their light to those who consumed it without gratitude. And that withdrawal, that sudden absence of care, is felt like a death. The narcissist, the manipulator, the selfish soul who once drank endlessly from the empath’s well, now discovers the well has run dry. That is the revenge of the empath. Not vengeance through violence, but vengeance through absence. Where once they absorbed wounds, they now reflect them back. Where once they gave, they now withhold. And in this withholding, the other is confronted with a terrifying truth: the pain they always avoided is their own, and no one will rescue them from it. This is why the resentment of the empath is so dangerous. It is not a storm of rage; it is silence. It is the quiet closing of the heart’s gate. And to those who thrived on the openness of that heart, such silence feels like exile. You see, the empath does not become cruel; they become just. And justice for those who fear their own reflection is unbearable. But beware, for the empath too must tread carefully. To live in resentment is to poison one’s own waters. If the empath merely inverts their gift into bitterness, they remain chained to the very oppressors they sought to escape. The true transformation lies not in revenge, but in total liberation. When the empath stops using their absence as a mirror to punish, and begins using it as a boundary to protect, the cycle finally breaks. True freedom is not about forcing the manipulator to face their own reflection; it is about the empath choosing to never look back.”
