Laser keyboard is cool but silly. Try tapping on the table for several minutes and tell me how does that feel on your fingers… 
You can get one of those vinyl or rubber mats for the desk top. I’d be more worried about how to see the keyboard on a sunny day.

The only flexible screens I would consider useful so far for myself would be a wristband-style phone&watch. Perhaps not quite as wide as the one below, but definitely better than the current mobile phones and it brings back the wristwatch for me as well, which I grew up with.
