This Will Happen on Mars by the Year 2058!

… will attach nuclear reactor to an asteroid to move it towards Mars, and never ever even think of having it directed to Earth, a few more miles away…

Nighty time for me. So I’ll go to sleep. Yesterday (26th) was a difficult day and I ended up bingewatching a TV series for 5 hours. Didn’t wanted to think and probably I shouldn’t now.

My stay at hospital woke up my depression. It’s been a month and if my symptoms continue or worsen and still are around in another two months, I’ll have to consider looking for assistance. Sh*t.

I haven’t felt this bad in 20 years and I’m positively scared that it keeps spreading it ugly tendrils on my mind. I am stronger and more experienced, but fighting your own mind isn’t easy.

Anyway, it’s time to go to bed. Nighties lovelies!

Also: the deep sea is, huh, deep.

Just load the website and scroll down. A lot.

I’ve watched Interstellar, eventually. It’s not what opinions made it look like, I’ve enjoyed it enough although it doesn’t takes black hoels as seriously and grimly as it should. But it’s a nice story.

Nighties lovelie!s!

But I cant play it, That cat in another thread was repost from Reddit. I still am not convinced for those animations they have in game also… :disappointed:

although it doesn’t takes black hoels as seriously and grimly as it should

I dont think they should have been treating is as some ominous thing, of course they would have to stay in safe distance, but it was like with some other big objects in space, like our sun for example, if someone goes into it, then he dead.

I liked it but the last part with this time travel was too… fantasy for me. I am sure time doesnt work like that, sadly. Have you seen Gravity? I think Gravity is better. Not about physics really, because there is lots of errors too, but I like how it depicts what could happen there.

Well, the part with time travel makes sense according to the internal logic of the film, but what isn’t clear is who are the five-dimensionals. They try to imply that it’s humans from the future, but then they wouldn’t exist without saving mankind, so it’s just one of those silly causation loops. I enjoyed the representation of the theseract, as a tridimensional space where the 3D elements link through time as in one of them being “behind” the 3rd dimension for lack of a better representation. And they’re right that gravity as a force could exist in n-dimensional spaces.

But Gargantua… planets orbiting a black hole? And moreso, inhabitable planets?? And time dilation not affecting wavelenght of signals? And (just to top it off) going through a event horizon without spaghetization? I mean, at one point, the part of you by the event horizon is orbiting at nearly the speed of light, surrounded by all kind of crap hitting each other in nearly-speed-of-light uberenergetic collisions, PLUS the flow of antimatter from Hawking radiation and the gamma rays from matter-antimatter annihilation to add extra merriness to being there. Black holes are grim, they’re the circle of hell where your soul ends up after being rejected twice by all others.

Also, I’m looking for Gravity. These days i’ve been watching a lot of stuff rather than play videogames (FAI, I bingewatched “For all mankind” in three days, 5+2+3 episodes).

I dont think time is 4 dimension as its only effect of previous dimensions and causality. Like when things have momentum and frame of reference but dont have past and present, because they have now that is described by the momentum and frame of reference. That now is always composed of those two things.
