I know of those devices, but they don’t really work in hot and moist places like Barcelona; they cool the air by evaporating water, thus they intake dry hot air and deliver cool moist air; but when air humidity is high, water won’t evaporate and they barely do anything. With air humidity above 70% they become just low-powered fans. Here in Barcelona serious shops won’t even have them for sell, since sellers are aware that people will come back complaining that it doesn’t cools at all…

PS: apparently their name is “evaporative coolers” around the world or “swamp coolers” in the USA…

…the “swamp” thing coming from their habit of growing mold, algae and all sort of foul-smelling crap on the moist surfaces.

I have this ,

but I think it was over $200 , including motorized delivery to my place, at my door , and up the stairs.
It weights over 50 lbs.

I also didn’t buy it from the company, but it was someone else who was distributing a new model.

It dehumidifies, has a water receptacle in which it gathers water from the air intake,
and also has a dehumidify mode.
The fan mode doesn’t do much, although it would be better than nothing.
I only use the AC mode.
There are other functions which I don’t use.

It has a thermostat so, you can let run all night and it won’t freeze you going too cold, and, give you a bad cold when you wake up.

  • Powerful air flow and quiet operation - Cools rooms up to 350 sq. ft. (Temperature range 61F to 89F)

My room is cooled down to 68F so far, in summer time. - 350 sq. ft is 32.5161 sq. metre. -68F is 20C.

  • Auto Evaporation no bucket to empty (except in areas with high humidity)

(I do have to empty it)

  • Long-Lasting, Washable Dust Filter

the filter still works, I have to clean it every 2 weeks which I sometimes don’t.
it accumulates dusts in the air intake system, which is hard to reach and hard to remove if the filter is not cleaned, which is probably why the item is discontinued.

  • Built-in Dehumidifier removes up to 61 pints/ 24 hours

It takes a lot of power and probably would not work in a room with only a few outlet that wouldn’t allow a microwave to function in it, due to electrical power overload.

I cut the plastic slider to fit it in a horizontal sliding window.
I used a metal saw to cut the plastic flat.
I kept the other parts in case I need them to adjust it back again to another type of windows.

I use duct-tape to make sure that it hold more tight as air-tightness is required to keep it efficient.

These portable devices are handy, any true AC will require an exaust thus the hose is the difference, that’s how the portable AC device pumps out heat. They work well for smaller surfaces, although their energy efficency isn’t the best. I would buy one if I had to stay at my flat, but since I’m being evicted and will be back to my parents’, they have AC at home so I wouldn’t really have a use for the portable AC past september.

You would have to sell it or store it.
I had to store mine for over 1 year, because, the other place I was at didn’t have enough power to run it, and, also because I moved over 60 times, and keep my property in storage, as they not only sought to forfeit my property , but , also intellectual property rights and benefits from the creation of those rights, which, since some of it is from the US Army medical department, and that I had to translate it into English. is causing them some rather peculiar pandemic problems, among other mental problems and stressors.

I’m finally able to reduce my storage costs for this work and intellectual property and property, by 25% to 60%, but, it’s not worth it for me.
It’s more cost-effective to move to Europe, even if I take an online course for a Bachelor from Germany , from a University, and graduate in Social Science.
I’m just too old for this.

It also means that I have to get insurance from Europe by the way, because I’m against the American insurance from Canada which tried to extort from me and did extortion.
There’s an armed conflict since 1983.

Time to go to bed. For some reason the amount of music video tabs I keep open on my Firefox keeps growing… i usually cull their number by closing the older ones after I haven’t listened them for a while, but for some reason that’s becoming difficult. Guess I will just start copying links into a text document as some of the older tabs are “hard to find back” so just keep them open to not lose track of that track. Huh.

Anyway i’m off to bed. Nighties lovelies!

Also: clever system so drivers SEE the emergency signal…

There’s a way to save Firefox or other browser history files.
You can also bookmark them.
Keeping many tabs opened uses RAM, and processor resources, which, those programs have very little efficient management of.
Even the operating system gets overloaded and never had any programs to solve the RAM problems since 1992, and before.

The solution always was to design newer systems with more memory, while, it doesn’t solve the problem.

Most new programs will once need to be made smaller, and new types of programmers will be making programs from new programmers smaller.
It will not be easier to make programs smaller and more memory efficient (some already are).
It’s easier to get a computer memory to do the work, and not bother to improve your memory.

I’m replying to this , but I want to review the many posts and youtube videos I wrote about this from analysis, because it pertains to this, and it would give him more accurate information in relation to this, especially good and better for him as an engineer (for accuracy).

Additionally, I forgot 2 or 3 factors related, which, I then realized, is caused by the same source, who and which seeks to forfeit evidence, and make my work seem nonsense, and force me to use it against them, or die not doing it, or die if not doing it, or die because I would not be doing it, even though it’s illegal for them to try to justify to do it.
