Well… it’s Jaime Maussan. Well known in skeptycal and rationalist circles… One is to wonder how did he even make it to the Mexican Congress to display his freak show.

But now it’s very late and I should go to bed. Nighties lovelies!

Also: can you love a train station in the middle of nowhere? Yes you can, and you will.

Looks like a nice way to conmute places. Quite unlike what we got in my city, mostly because of the old age of infrastructure and a lot of complexity in moving like 350,000 people every day into a city of 1.5 million. Much effort was place in developing the high speed rail but conmuter service was left behind in ivnestment effort, and there it is still. At least the trains are “modern”, as in 15-20 years old which is fine for conmuter trains (and I bless my luck to live in the city and avoid conmuting).

Thanks for the vid.

I thank God to live in a small village and be able to commute from one nice train station to another cool train station with the most modern trains in Europe and courteous rail employees.

I don’t think I would ever be able to live in a city. Just the commute from work to the station is enough to convince me that small-town living is what’s best. I was in Paris last month for work. I got a bad panic attack. I was able to calm down thinking of forest trails and horses.

Well, I0ve never lived in a small town. Also never owned a motor vehicle and never learned to cycle so i’m quite used to move around with public transport. Bus when I can, and underground to go to work because it’s faster and means I spend less time outside of home. I really like staying at home, my idea of vacation is to be able to stay at home for days without a need to go out. Even during Covid lockdowns it took me 10 days to actually feel the urge of going out, if even to the supermarket.

In a way, I started hating being forced to leave home to go to school twice a day, meaning 4 trips back and forth, and I still hate being forced to leave home for work twice a day. But on the other hand, I would never work from home… that would kill me, being chased by work even at home? Never!

And now i’m off to bed. Today we had a local holiday and tomorrow will be like monday, but on tuesday. But only 4 days and then weekend again. Nighties lovelies!

Also: all these turbines are the same size (100 meter tall towers with blades 63 meter long each, for 126 m. diameter) and are spread over about 4 km of sea, some 28 km away from the camera.

Looks like the sea is lower the further it is from the camera? As if it was curving down around a globe…??

PS: here’s a picture of one of the vintage stations around my city, 30 minutes from downtown… built in 1860 it is a busy hub between medium range trains and conmuter trains.

The train waiting at the background is a conmuter train and the two tracks are for the medium range rail lines.

I don’t like public transports except for the train. They’re very unreliable where I am. The bus may come as scheduled but then again it may not come at all, and in the big cities the subway is on time only because it’s underground and on rails and even then sometimes it’s late.
I had the displeasure and no other choice of having to live in big cities for a few years for work, Los Angeles, Chicago, Marseilles, Paris, Kansas City, Brussels, Barcelona… In my opinion: all ratholes.

My idea of vacation is to go camping, hiking, horseback riding or even help on my friend’s farm. I love taking care of horses, cows… and he let me drive his tractor once. I was so nervous to mess something up!

During Covid, while all the people in big cities got cited for going out without good reasons, we in small villages didn’t even get checked or cited. I was taking long walks, sometimes a police van would pass me but never once was I bothered.

Gee… maybe the earth is round after all

It looks nice. Thanks for sharing! :grinning:

Had anyone tried Ginger Wine?

Tonight I am enjoying a glass of Stomes that states classic ginger infused wine is full of spice and zest,

I don’t drink anything alcoholic or fermented so I couldn’t tell you but…

" It can reduce inflammation and has even been cited as having aphrodisiac properties.
It’s sweet, warming, comforting and with that gingery fire actually feels like it may be doing you some good. Perfect as a gentle tipple, beneficial if you have a sore throat, soothing if you have digestive issues."

I’m going to buy a bottle of it just for the highlighted part.
Have you checked online about it?

What is it like? What flavor is “Ginger” in relation to wines? Can you describe it?

For me I tend to reach for the bottle after having an Ali Kabab that was heavy on the garlic and chilli sauce.

I find that it helps with my digestion and tastes better than having a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, which I do drink daily.

The Stones Ginger Wine is great for the throat also, if been out at a bbq where I would consume fatty processed meat in the form of sausages.

The ginger tastes are why I buy it and the warmth it offers more than a can of ginger beer can deliver.

All I can offer in the way of describing this delicious wine is that is it good for the last drink if when not having coffee or cream afterwards.

It’s the type of wine you can turn to after few beers though I wouldn’t mix it with other wines.

It’s just a fantastic blend and costs 15 here.

If it makes you happy, then why not? :slightly_smiling_face:

“Follow your bliss.

If you do follow your bliss,
you put yourself on a kind of track
that has been there all the while waiting for you,
and the life you ought to be living
is the one you are living.
When you can see that,
you begin to meet people
who are in the field of your bliss,
and they open the doors to you.
I say, follow your bliss and don’t be afraid,
and doors will open
where you didn’t know they were going to be.
If you follow your bliss,
doors will open for you that wouldn’t have opened for anyone else.”

I love these witty stuff.

Also: Is there an increase of Chinese players in EVE? Did they merge the two servers?

Don’t know but there’s an awful lot of Chinese writing in Hisec space.

What is CCP going to do with all the Chinese players when China takes back Taiwan?

Oh, common now.

It’s blatantly obvious that those wind turbines are just very very short.

There’s no such thing as parallax. It’s just a myth.

All one has to do is take a look at the Moon.

And from that we can easily deduce the form of the Earth, which is obviously a crescent.
