Time to go to sleep… night night lovelies!

Also: now, just stand still there for a little while…

The powers that be consider real life a game. If their superpower and the other superpower went to war, if there were 3 survivors and 2 of them were them, it would be considered a victory.

They hadn’t considered though whether one should be a man and the other a woman.

Thank you for your support,

But it’s the one thing I hate about getting old. Watching or waiting for friends/family to go. Sometimes so sudden you don’t even have a chance to say goodby.

All I can say is live your short life as hard as you can. You will not get another.

Zaera has a hyper acute sense of smell - she does not like garlic.

I figure you didn’t and the pic isn’t in any way meant to set you off. I’m certain you can replace the garlic with something more agreeable to your senses

Hint: She’s a vampire, that’s why. :vampire:

When I was younger, more young than Charlie Munger… ok ok, I’ll get to the short story:
I have flown with a national airlines back in 1995 from Dubai to Istanbul. Service was hostile and the food was horrible.
Forward to 1997, I was at a hotel in Azerbaijan for some business of someone else. While waiting them having a business meeting at a cafe, I walked to the stores and inspected the showcases one by one. When I came to a Germanic airline company’s ticket office, I saw model airplanes of the same airplane, from smallest to largest, on elevated platforms attached to the wall, each on top of the other. I was looking at those airplanes with awe. Then suddenly a man came out of the office door and walked towards me with a very small box in his hand and handed me with a smile on his face and with a gleam of pride in his eyes. He said nothing and I thanked him for the box, but he still said nothing, just similing and gleam in his eyes and returned back to his office. When I returned back to the people I was accompanying and sat down, I opened the box and there was a small model plane in it!

Even though I haven’t flown anywhere since '95, and never with that Germanic company yet… guess which one I’m choosing next.
Now that is how you win a customer’s heart!

I went for a job interview for building submarine periscopes. The lobby was full of high-grade models of subs. I could name most classes.

But it was union, and I swore to never work for a union again. Still, the lobby was impressive!

I hope she took the opportunity to see the wonder of the starry sky. In Europe it is now almost impossible.

Well, the image probably is not real but the event was pretty real… at home we lost 4G and cellphone coverage by 3 PM and didn’t get power back until well past midnight (I woke up at about 01:30 AM and we already had power, so I put my phone to charge up from 24%).

Fun lesson: radio is important. I found an old walkman, plugged in the computer’s wired earphones and put new batteries on it and it still worked (go old electronics, go!) so we could get some news from the public FM stations which can run on generators. Getting news became specially important once we lost cellphone and 4G and my smartphone, which still has radio, was losing charge…

After dusk, I managed to see some stars but by that time the blackout was not total and the already lit parts of the city faded most of the sky.
