Well, autochrome Lumière is known for being quite good at capturing true colors, the fact that the plate yellowed over time left me wondering what the original colors would look like. Also colors in autochrome are quite muted (light gets filtered twice in the process) so probably the actual stagecoachs were even brighter.

Yes it is, aslong as you have a permit.
Mining without a permit will result in a fleet of flying monkeys descending upon your thieving ass.
