Human put environmental pressure by using nets, so eliminated the genetic pool of the rapid growth fish and basically only those that slipped thru nets remained with their genes that caused their survival. They did not adapt to anything, they only had fitting genes.

With humans its the same rule, that only fitting will survive, but we have sociocultural evolution, technological evolution, and genetic evolution. This means that human can put more environmental pressure on its own population than on population of cod, where it was only nets.

So we can metaphorically get the nets out for human population, even unknowingly, and they can be called: pollution, condoms, war, wages, taxes, beauty standards, and laws like: tobacco industry laws, food industry laws, pharmaceutical industry laws, etc…

Some people even develop better “nets” to fish people with their money into them. Even in gaming.

So, the population of less environmentally challenged humans will thrive. Like in africa. Because there they mostly have to combat hunger, which is easy to do. They will not use condoms, play games, they can live in straw huts and do nothing all day, only have sex when they are not gathering food or eating.

Currently in places like the middle east, to survive one must learn to evade bombs, missiles and occupying forces.

This invloves humans adapting to living underground.

“All is fair in love and war”. Survivalists can have many cards up their sleeves. Safe rooms, shelters, hitting bullet with another bullet, or a beam of electromagnetic energy, can be a pretty effective strategy also. But all fades in comparison with a nuclear “flashlight” hitting the ground.

A small part of me figures that as the rope wrapped around the post, the conservation of angular momentum would make the hanging child turn faster as the radius shrinked…

Steroid use is correlated with higher mortality rate.

He himself admitted to using steroids.

In his defense though. When he was starting out as a pro wrestler. Steroid use/abuse was practically mandatory. The bigger the muscles the more time you got in the ring. The bigger the paycheck.
