The key to unlocking the problem of you getting any handle on being able to start your recovery. Is you. Sorry, but any solution, any plan, to help on the path to recovery has to come from within you. You have to want it.
I know this is true as I have dealt with both recovery alcoholics and addicts. No matter the treatment plan or rehab. If you do not have it in you to stop. It will not work. But here is the thing. Saying it does not mean anything. You have to want to stop. And therein lies the crux. You may mean to stop and honestly feel you want to, but unless you emotionally, mentally, and perhaps spiritually feel it. It won’t take.
I wish you well and hope one day you find a way to start the recovery. Because believe this or not. It won’t be easy or simple, but it will be worth every effort. It will take each and every day to be sober.
Again I wish you well and hope that you get there one day.
