Frankly, nowadays that everyone carries smartphones to film in a bad light the Man Who Fixes The Ting Woman Can’t Fix, women also carry smartphones to call the company that tells her what E(ngine) Er(ror) EER432 means and why her car should stop because of it…

…and do it without being exposed to the guys who still haven’t got the memo that helping a woman does not open her funhole any more than they’d open their backdoor in the same situation. :woman_shrugging:

(And then there’s a lot more things to cover but that would be real world topics)

739 CE (post-Classical era)
the West African Sahel
a girl

In 739 CE, a girl was born in the countryside of the West African Sahel. Her name went unrecorded. She grew up in a village that held about 200 people. She made her home in a mud-brick Sudano-Sahelian house. She was the fifth of seven children. She was 22 when her mother died. Her table was mostly millet porridge, cow’s milk and soured milk, goat and mutton, and baobab leaf and cowpea, with dates and desert melon in season. She was about 157 cm in height (5 ft 2 in).

Marriage came at 18. She had two children, neither of whom survived past childhood. The greatest distance she ever travelled was about 220 miles, to a regional town or city. She spoke a Chadic language and followed a traditional Hausa religion. She spent her days as a market trader. She made her living on what a craft or trade brought in. At 21 she watched Halley’s Comet pass. She lived 31 years, dying of pneumonia.

Nibble at least, I hope!

I used to carry enough tools to rebuild your engine! The best one I guess is when I stopped at an auto parts store, coming out, I see a mom, dad and very sad little girl. I ask if I can help. The guy says they were on their way to Disney world when one of the front wheel bearings started to go. They were stuck… I jacked it up, figured out it was repairable on the spot. Sent him inside for the parts and had them back on the road in an hr. (wheel bearings are quick/easy to replace with the right tools)

The smile on the little girl’s face was all the payment I needed and one I’ll never forget! I used to do a lot of things like that when I could, still do, just not as much.

Edit front wheel bearings on a rear wheel drive. Front wheel drive is different thing.

The Landes region was full of marshes and water moving up and down so people who had to leave town and face the rural paths would bring stilts just in case to avoid water and mud, and also the stilts allowed them to have a better view and walk faster (postmen in the Landes used to wear stilts too, for faster walking and avoiding the annoyance of shifting waters).

Then in the 20th century the area was drained and planted with pines (some of which burned quite spectacularly this last summer in a series of massive wildfires).

And now, the AI slop nobody was expecting! This one has been fun, I got good results from relatively early on (once fixing a matter with a-tall-woman-in-men’s-suit-is-not-a-man) and eventually I’ve settled for a shot where all the girls look good… not face accurate, but good looking.

Ishtanchuk, Yiole, Indahmawar and Lea-Marie get ready for a Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya cosplay at the 32nd Manga convention in Barcelona*, playing Haruhi Suzumiya, Kyon, Yuki Nagato and Mikuru Asahina.

*which I totally though it was in the chilly weeks of late winter (aka february or march of 2026, and already passed) but instead is in the chilly weeks of late autumn (aka november-december of 2026). No problem as I already had settled with Lea-Marie bringing a trench coat because bunny suits are not street friendly…

You mortals always look at the universe through such a narrow lens. My clones aren’t just spare bodies; they are different projections of my bloodline. Be careful when you go poking around them, they might just bite.
