That sounds nice but I guess we would disagree on what âthe original conceptâ was and how the 50k EVE was an unplanned accident that CCP successfully fixed by evicting trespassers and halving the game population.
Many years ago, Ripard Teg said that Hilmar is always looking for validation and will chase whatever he feels that will make him look cool. This would explain Incarna, the novels, the cross platforms of DUST, the Triglavians, the VR stunt, the selling out to a company even less competent than themselves, the purchase back, the perpetual chase for a FPS, the attempts to turn EVE into some kind of franchise and even the doubling on the bet with Frontier, the game that resents being played as developed by guys who expect players to do their coding with money from crypto scammers.
Because having a online game filled with paying customers who lived and let live minding their own business and messing with no one but rocks and NPCs in highsec was so uncool⌠good riddance, carebears! Better 22k and struggling in a cool way than 50k and thriving in a uncool way!

My point is that CCP evicted carebears, highseccers and PvErs because they âplayed the game wrongâ and thus was left with half of their paying customers. CCP forgot that the people complaining about PvP and sticking to PvE ALSO PAID FOR THE DARNED GAME and since nobody needs to play EVE Online, making them choose between playing the game ârightâ or leaving would make them leave⌠and take their money with them.
As a bar owner, you should kick the first nazi as soon as he shows up. Because if you tolerate him, heâs gonna tell his friends, and then youâll have a few nazis in your bar, and they will harass the other customers and fight among themselves, until they eventually drive away all other foot traffic and then youâll be left with a bunch of broke as ass losers that regularly destroy your place, put you in policeâs radar and are terrible business unless you donât care about earning a living or just are a nazi yourself.
CCP turned EVE Online into a nazi bar, not literally, but metaphorically. By catering to the extremely vocal PvP crowd CCP crashed their population down to what it is now.
I donât know if they were competent enough to avoid this fall, but since they took my money and then betrayed me, they can pretty much go to hell.
This 22k stupid bed is what they did and theyâll be sleeping in it until theyâre left with nothing.

Comparing the average EvE player to a nazi, thatâs er.. nice.
The thing is CCP didnât evict carebears, highseccers or people who enjoy PvE thatâs just your wild imagination. They just set the laws of the game such that it is very good for many types of PvP.
For those of us who like PvP games, and to imagine that means weâre all about ganging up on noobs is clearly deranged, that was and is like a honeypot is to insects. So here we all are, having fun.
There does seem to be a small, but very vocal, minority of people who want EvE to be something it isnât, but the PvE in this game is not good enough to make it a serious competitor to Elite, Everspace and the dozens of other excellent PvE space games which exist out there, so it will never make serious inroads into their playerbases.
Itâs a shame you spent money on a product which is not suited to you or your playstyle, but perhaps if youâd done a tiny amount of research into what kind of game you were paying for, you could have avoided your disappointment and thus our frustration at having to read your whinging.

When the news media reports about some ai agent gaining access to some gov medical site they spew out some scare tactics that the ai hacked yet they donât comment about that ai is still just a tool.
It is like blaming the brick that broke the glass storefront window and not the person who use such ai agent to brute force.
