The most important issues in EvE

This is an odd one. I can only assume some players think “big alliances cause problems”, and therefore somehow stopping players from being in a big alliance will “improve the whole game”.

Players already use standings and 3rd-party software to manage coalitions, which are groups of alliances and corps that goes beyond what the game provides. If corp/alliance size were limited, people would just go beyond the game limitations to manage it. It would result in inconvenience and some more work for 3rd party developers, is all.

The fact that somebody seems to promote this notion every week or so reminds me of something my dad was always fond of saying:
“Most people have no idea what they’re talking about. Think of that before you speak.”

These are from a personal perspective:

  • Get rid of all the out dated items from drop tables (99% of useless blueprints, components & carbon!)
  • Give clear plans on the future of POSs
  • Re-evaluate Data & Relic site drops (Data especially)
  • Make belt ratting more enjoyable/useful (maybe introduce PI hauler spawns, more cap spawns etc.)
  • Reduce mindless anom ratting from SOV space
  • Introduce shared hangars
  • Implement blueprint corp hangar which is easily to administer
  • No moon goo/gas requirements for T1 battleship production (Create Capital Neurolink BPs and make them require moon goo/gas rather the subcap variant)
  • Move moon goo & gas requirements from Capital Component BPOs to Capital Ship production BPOs
  • Gas clouds in all NPC nullsec regions
  • Evaluate profitability of Burner missions & other (rather too) high income means
  • Similar to structures, show number of guests in NPC stations
  • Similar to structure fuel, make all production requiring specific fuel block type to any fuel block.
  • Make NPC regions a bit more unique given the prevalence of structures nowadays

I’m sure many of these will be flamed but it’s a personal wishlist.

Now I’ve been ‘Lost In Space’ for a while due to navigation connection issues but IIRC, all NPC stations show the number of guests within them.

He means from outside I believe.

There should be more public fleets.

Ok, so why would you need to see how many people are in the NPC station from the outside anyway?

One reason is so you can count how many peoples are cloaked somewhere and hunting you  . Right now you need to dock into each station if there are multiple which is quite time consuming and also dangerous as the local residents might camp the station undock the moment you dock there.

And likewise it might be useful somewhere where are npc stations and no local so you know if your target is still there or he logged out.

Ahhh, so for WD reasons.

But isn’t that what alts are for?

Well it is something for which you might use alt. But not requiring an alt for something in this game would definitely be and improvement.

Also, shouldn’t that be an argument why is that a good idea? Ie. you can already get that information via alt, so it might as well be automatically available anyway, no?

Yeah, unfortunately CCP has turned Eve into a game of alts… lol

Oh… I know this one! … kinda…

Somehow, players have to get used to be popped!
I’d implement a sort of USE IT OR LOSE IT. So we can finally have not peace in a “PVP” game just by peeps blowing up stuff and stop whining about it.

EVERYTHING MUST POP! Or “die of old age”

Good luck!
I’ll be watching this one

They robbed a lot of players of their longtime investments in the game with scarcity and all the nerfing. Its still a beautiful game. But for retention they really need to make highsec have permanent safety. They should not allow using filaments in highsec after that ofcourse. I never play in highsec myself im mainly a lowsec, nullsec wormhole player. Highsec is where the noobs start but its the most difficult to understand space with all the rules etc. In all other spaces the rules are more clear. Game would be much simpler for starters that way. Remove the core system for citadels. Revert nerf to cloaking cynos, carriers, vni (just disallow for omega), the mining changes, interceptor nullification and the list goes on and on.

Scarcity 2.0
Introduce module/component decay that would then place demand on Industry.

Update to the Industry window to offer a personal spreadsheet that can be edited / accessed via ingame &or the mobile app.

/edit adding a reply to below instead of rebumping.

Thanks, I notice the services section on the forum.

That’s called ESI.
