Hello capsuleers,

I’d like to introduce The Norns — a standalone, always-on-top telemetry HUD, DPS meter, and anomaly companion for EVE Online ratting fleets.

Drawn as a dedicated hardware terminal (Mordu’s Legion aesthetic with a recessed OLED display), it runs locally on your PC and is strictly passive by design.

:bullseye: Current Fleet Focus

The Norns 1.1.0 is specifically tailored for the popular EDENCOM + Smartbombing Fleet Leader ratting doctrine:

  • EDENCOM Gunboats: (Skybreaker, Stormbringer, Thunderchild) delivering primary Vorton bounce DPS.
  • Fleet Leader Battleship: (Nestor, Machariel, Praxis, etc.) running smartbombs to clear frigate waves and anchor the fleet.
  • Intelligent Friendly Fire Filter: Vorton hits against your own fleet anchor are automatically filtered out, ensuring clean and accurate NPC DPS calculations.

  1. Real-Time DPS Metrics:

    • Real-time Vorton DPS curves per pilot (60s window) and fleet totals (10s window).
    • Evaluate your skill progression, bounce efficiency, and fleet positioning live.

  2. Smartbomb Cycle Tracking:

    • Automatically detects individual smartbomb modules on your anchor battleship from the log.
    • Compares current cycle damage against the module’s best cycle in the site.

  3. Live ISK Heat Grid:

    • Real-time heat matrix of bounty payouts across all active clients.
    • Tracks ISK per individual anomaly as well as cumulative session earnings.

  4. Automated Anomaly Counting:

    • Automatically increments completed site counts on fleet warp. No more manual tallying or forgotten notepad notes.

  5. Smart Grid Alerts:

    • :police_car_light: Titan / Capital on Grid: Visual alert and glowing bright red hull heating within seconds of a Titan hitting or being hit on grid — giving you time to align out and save your fleet.
    • :gem_stone: Faction Commander Spawns: Alerts you the moment an Asteroid Commander Battleship (Shadow Serpentis, Dread Guristas, Dark Blood, True Sansha, Domination) appears so you never leave valuable faction loot behind.

  6. NPC Faction & Damage Profile Breakdown:

    • Identifies enemy factions from log signatures and displays incoming damage shares (EM / Thermal / Kinetic / Explosive).

  7. Multi-Language Support:

    • English, Ukrainian (Українська), Spanish (Español), German (Deutsch), French (Français), Italian (Italiano).

:shield: Safety & CCP Policy Compliance

The Norns is strictly read-only and designed to adhere to CCP’s third-party policies:

  • Reads only local Documents\EVE\logs\Gamelogs and standard EVE - <Character> window titles.
  • NO memory reading, NO packet interception, NO cache inspection.
  • NO keystrokes, clicks, window switching, or input automation.
  • NO screen capture / OCR.
  • Completely local and offline (no cloud accounts or data telemetry).
