Agreed, just make it play the game for 30 mins and it unlocks for all 3 characters on the account.

Well you will be my second choice after Mike, but yeah should Mike not make the cut. You will get moved to the top of the list. As we do need someone that understands the market and have succeeded in getting mining to be a little more interesting. Also appreciate the fact you are not beholden to any alliance or corp. That you have tried to represent all the players.

I’d love someone to explain to me exactly why we need an economist.

Massive corporations in the real world might need them, banks might need them, Govt’s might need them.

We’re playing a game, not working in a job, not working for a Govt/Bank/Massive Company.

It’s just a game, and no matter how you try to spin it, it’s all it’ll ever be.

If it’s gone beyond that for you and you disagree, then you might need to step away and get some priorities in order.

if u dont rat, ur right.

most people is poor, not rat for waste time

Because bad decisions on CCPs side lead to regions full of potential being unattractive for settlement. Because groups investing into structures for living there (ISK, effort and time) need to see a potential for reaching a break even point and then making profits. If you can make profits, you can motivate players to live there. If you have players who live there and can make money, you have an area with potential for content. If there is content, you have an attractive region to a) make money and b) spend money to fight about things.

In the end, most activities come back to the point that the fun you get out of them and the time/effort you need to do and finance them need to be in balance. And economist can see those relations, consequences of changes or ideas and provide useful input how to solve problems that at their base have economical roots.

Holy ■■■■ yes! PvP at a loss makes sense in wars, but if it weren’t for killmails being used as a scoreboard almost nobody would do small gang PvP

Voted as I said I would. I look forward to both you and Mike getting on the CSM.

I don’t recognize most of the names running for CSM this year but I definitely recognize your name…

Since you’re a CSM Legacy Member and long time player, going forward I hope you’ll be more accessible and interact more with these forums…

Anyway, it’s always good to have a Market Economist in CSM… I will definitely put your name on my Ballot…

May you have much success and good luck in getting elected…

Thank you for the reply.

You are correct regarding item #2.
I agree with you regarding item #3.
Regarding item #1, I’ve got some ideas slow baking.
CCP seems to constantly push for more destruction and conflict in order to keep the economy healthy. Forces doing this in the real world bring suffering to the masses but prosperity to a few. I think the game environment is a good one in which to try something different. Since there is faction warfare, should there not also be opportunities for diplomacy?
Rhetorical questions:
Where are the mission agents for diplomacy?
What epic arc missions will result in building standings with empires simultaneously rather that damaging standings with one in favor of another?
How can I join a diplomatic corps rather than a factional warfare militia?

As I mentioned, these ideas are on slow bake and my play style is according to them.

I don’t require a response.
Thank you for your interest and your work.

I am very responsive and active on most major Discord servers and I have a live show. I do not prioritize these forums, that’s true, but it just isn’t an efficient way to communicate with the EVE community in my experience.
