Yes. When I make a new character CCP forces me to watch hours of videos telling me why I hate WoW and then they waterboard me until I agree. I usually agree once they get out the towel. CCP calls this extreme marketing. Fortunately before leaving my house CCP Falcon put the glass he was drinking from in the sink so I didnāt have to go looking for it. /sarcasm

Well, it was 2 and a half months ago when I made that statement. At the time, I had explained myself in at least a dozen other identical threads.
People play a game because it is rewarding. No other reason. It activates the dopamine pathways in the brain. People stop playing a game because it stops being rewarding. Not because of any complex rant about morality or ganking or wardecs or any of the other reasons people use as an excuse for being bad at what they do.
The core of something being rewarding is the fun:suck ratio. If things donāt have a certain amount of suck, they arenāt rewarding. There has to be challenges to overcome, otherwise the fun loses its sparkle. And thatās why this thread is stupid, why it didnāt deserve a full response, and why nobody bothered asking for one until now. Threads like this complain that thereās challenge, and that the challenge is other people.
And, now Iām bored (and have been bored of this thread basically immediately and stopped following it months ago) and I donāt have much respect for someone bitching about a 2 1/2 month old post, so Iām not going to bother bringing my idea full circle to deconstruct original topic. And, if 2 1/2 months of not posting isnāt āshutting upā, well up yours. It looks like I am nothing more the canvas upon which you paint a self portrait of your own stupidity.
