Of course you’d know that, being someone who knows nothing about me.
You keep telling yourself you are right… One day you just might be.,.
Sad even the trolls here are getting worse.

So you’re saying there is no room for anyone other than large dominating groups that can adapt to whatever CCP throws at them?
If the Era of Chaos continues along the same lines as now - Nulsec is doomed to become a place of 3 or 4 large groups who are all but invulnerable to attack (in any meaningful way). They won’t fight each other as the risk of losing is too high.
Look at what happened to Serenity - TQ is not far from this now and CCP’s current development trend is pushing it closer and closer to the same fate.,.
Development done in complete secret, flip flopping about changes at the last minute, throwing out change based on the screaming on Reddit of a minority (many of whom don’t even play the game anymore) - Just some of the things that have got us to this point and by all accounts CCP is still following the same line.,.
CCP Rise during his time on TiS told everyone Reddit is one of their main feedback channels - Pity so many of those on Reddit don’t actually play the game but that doesn’t matter, the Devs getting upvoted for agreeing with them is far more important.
Typical reddit poster - Hey i haven’t played Eve in 5 years but this is what you should do.
CCPlease - Hmm sounds good, lets do it.,. Upvote.,.
You’re tilting…
EVE is not about getting your character to level 90 or whatever the ****.
I’m afraid you still have a lot of really terrible left-over ideas from other, lesser games.
i dont agree. the purpose of the SP system is to allow a player to advance without having to interact beyond adding a skill to the que. today you have injectors and SP events these greatly speed up progression from an SP standpoint.
there seems to be no proposed alternative, what would the OP suggest in its place. how would you account for time in game for each player. as a player of almost 15 years, how do you enact the change in a way that will both compensate me and benefit the newer player. after all i have paid a subscription for xxx years for an agreed amount of SP{ per month based on my “past” learning skills set and point alication for my attributes. at the end of the day a subscription pays for SP (beyond 5mill) not for internetz space pixels
The bit you’ve missed is that the blocs are so big to do anything to hit them, the damage is so big there has to be collateral damage.
The last 5 year’s have been CCP trying to avoid collateral damage to smaller groups, and it’s not helped at all.
So, yes CCP said you were collateral damage, but if you think the blocs are too powerful, you have to be collateral damage. There isn’t a way around this. Every idea people post “this will favour the blocs”.
Skill points however… changing that would also favour the blocks. So…
I would like to see the power gap between newbies and veterans reduced, Make accessibility more a function of ISK than skill points.
That gap isn’t as big as you would like to believe it is, only so many SP apply in any given situation.
I get why CCP have done what they have done, the problem is it is not addressing the problems they see (too much isk - which was already rebalancing due to previous changes to ratting and mining).
There is NO valid reason for BO to continue, it was an experiment, it achieved little, it is time for it to end or at least offer an alternative for local chat to be restored.
We’ve already lost close to a third of our alliance to one of the Blocs - How much bigger and invulnerable do CCP want them to get, at the expense of every small/er groups in Sov Nul?
Serenity server should be the glowing example for CCP here but they seem to be completely overlooking what happens when you only have a few large dominating groups running nulsec.
And - Just no to using Drifters or other NPC’s to punish players in nulsec further. Even the idea CCP would stoop so low as to use NPC’s to change the face of the game goes against EVERYTHING they have told us over the years.
So then you will have people complaining about a power gap between the rich and poor.
Gotta say I agree with you, especially with the last part about using NPC’s to forcibly make people play the game the way CCP thinks it should be played.
For a lot of years freedom of choice within the game was a big selling point, CCP would place various tools and content into the game and the players would then use them as they see fit. Basically that freedom of choice is now being removed, the game is being scripted to direct the actions of players in the game.
True, but this is more about speeding up skill training in general for everyone and not just those whom are willing to invest really money into plex.
I really think this part of the new player experience should wait until after the new player actually plays the NPE to the point of pod death where they will then setup their character.
I really think CCP should completely revamp character creation.
Much of it is irrelevant and only adds confusion for new players.
IF ancestry, education, bloodline, etc actually meant anything aside from the clothes you get to choose for your new character it would be ok But…
I think there is a blurb stating that it’s all fluff so it’s really no problem IMO. Before they added that, yes I would have agreed with you…
Ahh there’s one born every minute - Congrats on being today’s.,.
May you disregard context when you reply always - It makes you look so clever.
NB; It isn’t about “making Eve better” - Just more appealing, with less irrelevant fluff for new players.
Always thought CCP should have an IQ tester for new recruits - You sir are the prime example of why.
way back during Red Moon Rising, they did that, you started off a character with 1m sp and some lvl 5 skills based on race/blood lines and school you went to
Because I can?
Well, for combat ships at least. Industrial stuff is something I dont care about.
Oh, and keep the skill system as it is.
