The Triglavian Invasions: Getting connected

There is no real life motive FFS!

You wouldn’t be posting like you do without one.

Like directly calling someone an idiot without real motive, for ep.

Enlighten me.

You called someone an idiot without motive, or for just not understanding where you’re coming from, at a personal level, with all this type of posting. So burden’s on you.

How do you normally transport stuff?

Why do you let people rile you up, Mike?

You just bring yourself down to our level and I know thats not what youre like, not really

You are a good person, Mike

Dont let our having fun shake that.

You’re right, “burden’s on you”, and that’s just what it means … lol

It’s like, calling someone guilty without any reasoning to show, and calling anyone stupid for simply asking you to explain it.

Which, if we follow the trend, makes you look like a right tool.

Wrong. It is not up to you to decide that.

I’m not riled up. He decided to troll me with some sanctimonious BS so I told him to practice what he preaches.

I liked your post about the Resource Wars.

Very on point.

The idiot is still in here calling people idiots like the idiot he is? And no vacation?

I’m curious to know what part of what ISD he is licking to get that special treatment. Er…asking for a friend.

I’m not criticising, I’m just saying that you’re as guilty of the things you criticise others for as they are. I know I am.

Yes I have my foibles but I don’t hide them, especially from myself; nor does it mean that I shouldn’t point out when someone isn’t adhering to the standards that they hold others too.

Hypocrite.

Thanks. You have reminded me that this feature exists. Needed to google it though.

First, I want to say that OP’s opening post was good. Thanks for being helpful to other players.

That said, every time I think “maybe I should jump back in and try EVE again”, I just have to come to the forums or Reddit and see why that’s a bad idea. I appreciate the consistent level of toxicity found in EVE players (obviously not EVERY player) since it saves me money over both the short and long haul. That, mixed with the poor game play/design implemented by CCP (this event is but one current example) are solid reminders that keep my wallet secure.

So once again I say thanks! You’re doing a great job! Let’s keep posting!

The amount of toxicity you can find in EVE closely mimics the amount of toxicity you can find in real life. Perhaps you want to opt out of that as well?

I mean, it should be easy to see how silly your stance is. You’re refusing to spend money on a game (or even play it for that matter) because you don’t like how certain players act. But what do you expect the developers to do about it? Do you want them to get rid of all of the players that you don’t find agreeable? If so, what makes you think that your perspective is the correct one, and theirs is wrong?

Edit: I can see how that particular line is pretty trashy, despite the context being that doing something like that would be nonsensical. I’m leaving it for posterity and so that people can call me out on it if they want to, but will rewrite it as follows:

The amount of toxicity you can find in EVE closely mimics the amount of toxicity you can find in real life.

For example, imagine that someone leaves a 1-star review for a restaurant along these lines:

“The food was good and the service was fast. However, there was a group sitting a few tables away, and they were really obnoxious! They were loud, and kept telling stories about doing drugs and their sexual escapades, and kept referring to other people by offensive names! They even spilled ketchup on my jacket! I will never come here again, if this is the kind of experience this place offers!”

You’re effectively saying the same thing, and it should be easy to see how silly your stance is. You’re refusing to spend money on a game (or even play it for that matter) because you don’t like how certain players act. But what do you expect the developers to do about it? Do you want them to get rid of all of the players that you don’t find agreeable, even if they’re acting within the rules? If so, what makes you think that your perspective is the correct one, and theirs is wrong?

Suggesting self harm is a little excessive, don’t you think?

Nah, it’s just a rhetorical question to showcase the stupidity of the personal stance of avoiding the game due to perceived toxicity.

Amusingly, I think you proved his point quite handsomely.
