Theaters of War Objectives are being completed too fast

Some of the objectives are simply being completed too fast. There are tens of thousands of players at any given time and the participation requirements are set too low. They are often completed in less than 12 hours and with only couple hundred participants. These aren’t objectives that tell you to go to dangerous areas and/or hunt rare spawns. These are low risk non intensive objectives completed in relative safety.

The latest one is building thrashers. That one started in the middle of the night for me (last night). It is now mid day in is almost completed with only 99 participants. Keep in mind these campaigns are suppose to last 3 months. The objectives themselves SHOULD last at least a couple of days. I thought these objectives were a player base effort. But it seems only 0.01% of the active players can complete them with ease.

It got even worse when they increased the amount of participation each character could throw at a task. Before that it looked to me like you generally had at least a couple days to do these more accessible objectives (well, for most empires at least, obviously “do a thousand level 1 courier missions in caldari space” was always going to get finished very quickly even with only one participation per character), but now they’re gone in hours. Yeah I could go hunting for specific ships in FW, those objectives seem to stay up for weeks, but there’s a reason for that.

I agree to some degree.

On the Amarr side, the build a Dragoon in bulwark system objective requires a LOT more, and offers less rewards than the Trasher one. It stand at 57% completion and it is been up for DAYS, probably over a week. It is disproportionate, and if the Trasher one was fixed before it became available, the Dragoon one is not being retro-fixed and “may” just never complete.

Similar, again for Amarr, the Complete Advance Combat mission also requires a LOT more contributions than other empire counterpart (I have Gallente in mind, which completed in about 8 hours iirc) and pays less. It is STUCK at 18% now, and this one was definitely available in the first few days of the expansion. Seeing it stuck at 18% for days, I think this one is definitely NOT going to complete by the end of the campaign… This is disproportionate, compared to Gallente, and CCP/Fenris won’t retro-fix it.

It is just as much frustrating to see your contribution may serve nothing (if the objective never globaly complete), than to see you couldn’t even contributed because life (work, family, or just necessary sleep) took you out of the game for more than the few hours it took for the objective to complete.

So I agree that some objectives are being completed too fast (I miss out on some too), but some other objectives seems to be way too long to complete (poop rewards and requires too many players, so there is not enough takers).

I’ll repeat a comment/suggestion I made in the General Feedback thread. The objectives should be long enough to allow everyone who wants to participate to do so (Come on CCP! 114 contributors for missions for Caldari, this is insane!). But at the same time, players should be able to contribute more than once, like once per day. Because if all who wanted to participated did already, if there is no new takers, its not going to penalize anyone if I participate again and again in future days.

Assuming FW is about “loyalty/patriotism” to one empire, being stuck to one contribution per activity is POOP. I could be repeating my favorite activities for Caldari.

But because of the restriction, I take objectives that match my activities from any empire. To me, this event turn out not much about helping my favorite empire, but about “fixing (or just boosting) some standings” with all 4 empire.

And I’m days without contributing to any at this point… Not because I don’t want, but because I’m locked out of objectives that are still available that I’m willing to continue help with, and no new (repeating) similar objectives to the ones I’d do but were globaly completed already.
