I can’t add to the original discussion so I have to link it here. https://forums.eveonline.com/t/anyone-else-having-this-issue/449150
The Opportunities Neocom icon ALWAYS shows unclaimed rewards even though they don’t exist.
As you can see CCP claimed the issue was resolved but I (and anyone with eyeballs) can tell you that it has not been fixed.
given this was back in May, recommend filing a bug from your client directly (F12 → Bug Report) the next time this happens, to make sure a new bug is established.
Done. Where can I find the report? It gave me an ID number for the report but it’s not listed on the support page when I log in with the other reports I’ve summitted in the past. Is there a new portal somewhere I don’t know about?
LOL also why do I always have to delete my reply and then create it again on these forums before it will show as a reply to someone and not a new post. Good times.
The forum has this quirk that it considers a reply to the post directly above it default behaviour. Only if you’re replying to an earlier post in the thread than the latest one it will show the reply tag to specify which other post you’re referring to.
Odd. That behavior makes it look like you aren’t replying to someone but instead it appears you are replying to the OP. Weird. It has been fooling me for quite a while making me think I had to delete replies and try again. Oh well thanks for letting me know it’s just a stupid design flaw.
but the person you reply to, gets the notification that they were replied to.
That’s exactly the part that was unclear and resulted in me trying again to see it was actually replying to them. It’s been this way as long as I’ve used these forums and I just assumed it was a bug that would never be fixed. Now that I know it was designed this way I KNOW it will never be fixed. LOL
But currently it does not list bug reports submitted unfortunantly.
Same here. Button is active and shows unclaimed rewards. All the time.
Yes, it would be clearer if replying to the post above you showed as a reply to the poster and not a generic reply to the thread.
However it’s quite easy to just quote the most relevant few words from the post and then even if it’s the post above you, it clearly shows both who you’re replying to and what the key point is. I recommend keeping quotes for this purpose to a single line or less, since the entire thing is directly above anyway.
