As long as small ships fitting was less than 10 seconds.
But honestly, we don’t need more logistical headaches at an individual player level.

Maybe CCP should rename Alpha as Demo to be clear. People don’t get it, there are thinking everything is for free, granted and should be. I hate that “new generation”.
Don’t forget when it’s free you are the product so ask for your pay.
It’s better than a demo, since you can earn isk as an alpha and become Omega, thus free to play (provided you are good enough).
Can I have my allowance now?
No you should thx the one who pay the bill for you to access at the server as an alpha
The community should remember the fine effects that Hateless shared with so many Alpha”s exactly how you Princess had mentioned in your thread reply. Alpha is a stepping stone to becoming Omega. I just don’t hold the knowledge to help Alpha pilots like how others have given so much of their time and dedication towards.
Though in regards to helping Pilots, I do see you as someone who helps miners under that there are better things in New Eden…. So there’s that!
I think that is an interesting idea!
I would also see it as depending on type+module size=x amount of minutes that the dock crew needs to install.
Depending on how its done the workflow could be improved slightly. I for one have offlined a module by mistake in space because i thought it was in simulater mode+other small annoyances:). But if fitting wasnt instant then the fitting window in theory would always be in simulate mode, and the modules wont get fitted until you click accept, and then you waited a bit.
Well you would be, as you just totally ignore every counter point.
Nope…I have serious doubts that thinking is something you are proficient at.
Gawd no. I don’t want to play a game where everyone is equal. Go back to Farmville ! Eve is dystopian inequality and capitalist connivance from the minute you join.
Maybe the consumer (aka you) should have due diligence and figure out how the game is funded.
I mean games don’t hide it when they want your money!
It will be subscription, DLC model, a 1-time purchase, or through thousands of microtransactions 99.999999% of all games will be a degree of these 4 models.
Who said I didn’t know? I’ve been here since 2007. It’s the alpha who cry because “I don’t have access to everything”.
We have already enough timers making us wait.
If someone really likes to wait, go make rounds in autopilot, in freighter.
Imagine having to look twice at the video below (it’s roughly 2min30sec) before you can undock because you fitted something…
I guarantee you that those friendly men in their pristine white coats will eventually come to take you to a stately building in the countryside, with lots of greenery and spotless white corridors, where you will be able to recover from your ordeal, given plenty of time and rest and therapy.
A dumb idea only gets dumber by spinning it. There’s no fixing it.
You do know people can argue the other side to why the Alpha/Omega system saved EVE in a changing and dynamic market? It’s not entirely black and white here as you claim lol
I like the idea of it. If it was that way from the start, I would be all behind it
But changing it to that right now would actually kill Eve. It would be such a change to game flow that people would revolt, and even if CCP changed it back in short order, enough people would have quit that it would put the game in the grave.
Oh yeah, this is brilliant idea and I think there is a chance it might get implemented.
After all, CCP agrees with you and not so long ago added this pending animation for docking and undocking. Therefore, fitting ships is next logical step I think.
Here is my humble take on how it could look like:
If it had been that way from the start, one of two things would have happened:
Do you know of any MMO that penalizes players’ game time for swapping gear ?!
smh
please add clock in animation in the next patch, lol
If they did that they would be dishonest and political
that was amazing
Fitting modules is not instant. You have to dock, remove any existing modules, locate the new module, add it, check the module activates, and undock. This can easily take several seconds, and since one day in EvE equals one year (that’s canon), a fifteen second module swap is actually 90 minutes.
