It would be nice if slots were only removed when a new module is available when fitting using the simulator. That is all.
Iv tried reading this 4 times and i still canât understand what you mean
If you press 'fit", modules should only be removed if the new module is available for fitting.
Yeah, that seems a tad overcomplicated.
This would cause so many problems for so many fits.
Given that slots are only removed when the ship is changed or a subsystem is changed is true. Please can you explain in first principles when slots are being removed, and then after that, when modules are or are not available.
Basically he wants it if you hit âfitâ but youâre missing one of your mid slots for that fit it doesnât remove what is already in the fit.
In a simulation you donât actually need the modules, it should apply the fitting anyway.
If youâre hitting fit without all the modules, why wouldnât you want it to fit what is available, leaving you the option to find the final modues(S)?
If you press âfitâ the fitting tool should attempt to fit the chosen fit to your ship.
That includes removing all the modules you havenât chosen and fitting all the available modules that you have chosen.
If some modules are missing after that you can manually adjust your fit.
I wouldnât want to run into issues where the fit I have chosen to apply to my ship forgot to swap the afterburner to a microwarp drive because I didnât have the right microwarp drive version in my hangar. It would not unlikely go unnoticed until I lag behind everyone else in a fight with my afterburner in a microwarp drive fleet, and I die.
I think the fitting window is working as it should.
And I think your suggestion would make the fitting functionality worse, not better.
