CCP should NOT justify taking actions founded upon bad precedents.
Do you mean, that CCP shouldnât introduce new packs cause the others were a bad precedent?
Trying to figure out what you mean is the bad precedent here.
They donât need to. They have all the forum sycophants for that.
Itâs not like we have any options aside from no longer playing. So weâre forced to either put up with shoddy treatment, or hurt ourselves by giving up something important to us. And in the case of the latter, that might actually kill off the game, leading to the loss of something that we enjoy only for the sake of spiting the company that controls it. Itâs a lose-lose situation for all players and low-tier employees who donât make any decisions, and a win-win situation for management, who will either reap profits from their new schemes, or cash out and bail for better opportunities once the ship starts sinking.
Wrong. You need to do more research. There are alternative products out there. Player-driven economy or full-loot PvP is not so novel an idea, that only CCP have come up with it. Might not be in a sci-fi setting though.
Otherwise, you can always make your own.
If I were CCP, I would introduce some small projectile ammo in the NES - golden ammo. The forum tears would be immense.
Matari, please!
Take that silly mask off.
The reality is, people have invested too much time into EVE and their characters, so they have a hard time switching games. Thatâs why they they donât consider other options.
We used to be able to get a single pack with 1 mil SP for some super low amount of cash. They stopped it, there was an outrage. Now they add it again but at a vastly increased cost and thereâs an outrage. Iâm no fan of it all personally but to NOW go âwell CCP sure messed up this timeâ doesnât make much sense. Mostly because they mess up all the time, but thatâs a besides.
We consider other games all the time. Eve appeals to well-to-do OCD introverts (of a certain age) in a way that most other games canât.
No, I canât.
Believe in yourself.
I was addressing Destinyâs notion that there are no alternatives. Just arguing that they cannot see other options, cause the willingness to switch game isnât there.
But yes, in its current state, EVE only appeals to a certain demographic. This change isnât going to remove that client base.
I donât know of any other âEVE-likesâ out there. I play a lot of full-loot survival games, and aside from maybeâŚtwo fantasy MMOs, I canât think of anything that approaches EVE in terms of player freedom.
it takes 15 years + to make eve
this is what most kids cant understand , you can trow any money in the world to try , but it is impossible, its like those rogue likes that are 20 year in development
I didnât say there is an ocean of choice. Two choices are still alternatives.
Not really sure what you mean by âfreedomâ. EVE is really not that free and has many systems built on each other. If you mean, just going out there and killing people, then I can think of a few.
ok suppose that i stop to play eve NOW
what is the other option ?
Go, chess, 500. All good games. Some people like Mahjong, but I donât really understand it.
yes i play those
but they are not anarchic space mmos
