The only people praying for this are the carebears with guns camping high sec bottlenecks.
What is the big deal? CCP has been doing this for a couple of years now. The old deal was a lot better, in fact.

Honestly, if there are players willing to give CCP the money, nobody who isn’t a skill farmer should care - and the skill farmers will still have a better deal for lower-SP characters looking to get SP. SP doesn’t win a fight, player skill/knowledge/connections does; this just means more players are able to get into the ships they want to fly to go get blown up sooner. More content for the rest of the playerbase.
Seriously, you can get the same SP for free just by logging in daily - it may take a while, but you’ll get there - but nobody is complaining about that. If CCP has a way to milk peoples’ impatience, cheers to them for finding a non-game-breaking way to do it.

Creating SP from nothing devalues the years of training people have put into this game. This should never have happened, same with those “skilling sprees” and “daily log in rewards”.
SP should only ever come from other players, like extractors and injectors currently do. This ties in well with the player-driven nature of EVE’s markets. This free-SP nonsense doesn’t.

Or you can just buy injectors, extracted from that free sp from other characters, same deal actually.

It didn’t seem to bother anybody when CCP was handing out SP-from-nothing for free.
But now that they want to to charge for it…

1.5m SP is all 35 days of training time for an Omega clone with 20/20 skills; such a horrible insult to your years of gameplay!

Yeah, it’s called boiling the frog. If your goal is to do something the public will not like, you do not start with the goal right off the bat. You start with a small, menial thing.
You did not care when we sold game time for money, why would you care now that we sell injectors for money - after all, the SP comes from you, the people!

Sky’s the limit, bud - there’s a reason we shot up Jita over something as seemingly banal as “gold ammo.”
As an exercise on whether or not this is kosher - ask yourself what the player reaction would have been if, a week after Pearl Abyss bought out CCP - this deal came out?

I’m waiting for the “super deluxe ultra ships” that you can only buy from NEX - but relax guys, you can resell them on the market, ANYONE can get one!
Then: said ships are soul-bound a la wow.
If I actually cared about this game like I used to - I imagine I’d be furious.
