i got Eve on steam, and now im trying to uninstall it. its using up some valuable space on my computer and trying to uninstall it with the steam client doesent seem to clear back up the space.
also looking for a uninstall file in " Hard Disk (C:) / Program Files (x86) / Steam / steamapps / common / Eve Online " there seems to be no uninstall file
Or maybe WinDirStat, that’s fun. I wholeheartedly recommend the giffed option, though.
I bought Eve Online through Steam, too. And then I uninstalled it and never looked back. I did not even use the same account, because in 2013, when I bought it on Steam sale, your login was automagically created through Steam as some god-awful chain of characters no one could ever remember.
If you want to return to Eve, and keep your installation small, download it from eveonline.com instead, and try to login with the credentials created through Steam. I’m sure it’s more efficient than Steam’s deal. I know by default “download everything” is not enabled for the regular program, but I don’t know about Steam.
Good luck!
The client and shared cache should be similar size no matter do you use it through steam or not.
