Turn Contracts into EBay

Hey, I have an idea for contracts. I find it frustrating when buying abyssals that I can’t ‘Make an offer’ on an item if I don’t like the price, and contacting the seller to make an offer directly would be a hastle.

Is it possible to have ‘make an offer’ and ‘buy it now’ on contract items for sale and also tell you the top offer recieved on the contract so we know what kind of offers the sellers getting? I believe it would help with selling the items, too. I think this would make buying items through contracts more fun and give buyers and sellers better choice. I want to haggle haha. Win win.

sounds like auction contracts that already exist

Oh hey, thanks for reminding me - I’d totally forgotten about auctions.

Why is sending the seller a message so much more hassle than making an offer on a contract?

Because it’s cooler, and there’s a possibility previous offers can be displayed on the contract.
‘make an offer’ and previous offers available at the sellers discretion.

This will also help me gauge how much things are actually worth. The abyssal market can be quite scammy when you haven’t been watching it for a while, and this change will help people newer to a particular market have a better understanding of how much things are worth.
Also if you’re new to the market and try selling something that’s priced too high, this can help in selling an item at a price both players can agree on, instead of just sitting there, ignored. You can’t tell the difference between an item being priced too high and too little market interest, as it sits right now.

Also, EBay has auction, buy it now, and make an offer available at the sellers discretion, and it would be cool if the contract market became more modern.

It’d be cool if along with displaying the top offer, it displayed number of offers recieved, too.
I suppose this is vulnerable to scamming, players making offers on their own merchandise, now I think about it. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could have nice things
