Tutorial Issues [ Baptism by Fire ] and "Board my Corvette" inopt

During the Tutorial there is no music. Sometimes you can hear it trying to start; thuds of the first note (like a thumping sound) as if the music track starts and stops immediately.

The AIR Astero has no guns. A workaround for this is to hit the Information icon. Once the information window for the ship has opened the Astero will have visible guns once you board. If you do not do this there will be no guns throughout the fight that comes soon after. You can still activate the weapon icons and complete the battle portion, but there will be no laser effects from your ship.

Once you revive at the AIR Station: After you claim your rewards from the AIR Career Program the “Claim All” button continues to blink instead of the X to close the window. This one is very minor.

The “Board my Corvette” function does not work. An error pops up saying “You must be docked to perfom that action”. This is not resolved by logging out and back in, clearly cache or any would-be fix. I’ve tried this with two characters (Caldari and Minmatar) and it’s the same experience with both. This bug seems to be game wide and not limited to the tutorial. However, unlike regular gameplay it completely stops the tutorial in its tracks. Making it impossible to complete.

That doesn’t work for the tutorial. Not if you someone wants to finish it. You cannot undock without opting out of the tutorial. You must board the corvette and get the mission from Vesper first. At this moment all new players are going to hit a brick wall. They don’t have another ship to fly. Mike Azariah can’t get every newbie a free ship all at once. He can only be one place at a time.

I’d suggest CCP make fixing this a priority.

This is a known issue, try doing a undock/dock.

This is breaking.
New players cannot undock without ending the tutorial prematurely.
New players cannot board the complimentary corvette due to this bug.

This needs to be prioritised as it is a gameflow breaking issue every single new player will encounter less than 30minutes into the game, i do not think it is unfair to say that most players running into this arent going to go to the forums and complain like myself, they’re going to alt+f4, play something else, and probably not come back.

Spot on prediction. Finally decided to try the game after I read about the new tutorial… got stuck 10 minutes in. Easiest alt + f4 of my life. I don’t understand how this ■■■■ even makes it to live servers.
Embarrassing.

It is a strange tactic though, usually the competition has to make a better product, but with cCP they make theirs worse to force players out.

hey Guys,

try the following:

go to your inventory, open the shipment hangar and click on your frigate there. it was the Reaper in my case, from the Minmatar. (don`t know if it´s the same for all factions). and that worked for me. cheers

I found a work around to the “Board Corvette” bug. Instead of clicking the glowing “Board Corvette” button on the right the game directs you to - open your ship hangar and board it directly from there instead and the tutorial will progress as normal.
