GOTCHA. SO A CHILD CANT READ MINDS. I POSTED A CATASTROPIC PROBLEM WITH THE GAMES CORE DEVELOPMENT BASED OFF THEIR SUPPOSED TUTORIAL. Reading comprehension is also a thing normal people have. (ESL people aside). I’m saying that “we” can’t read your mind. You have NOT explained what your problem is and expect us to somehow know what is broken. BTW, there are only five missions in the Exploration career path, not ten.

without knowing what the problem you are having is “its broken11!!!11” does not say anything.. What happened? what were you trying to do? did your ship explode? were you attacked?

Would also help if he used correct terminology. We don’t have ‘quests’ in EVE.

i see so many wrong terms used. quests guilds etc… its like they are giving signals they came from wow or some other mmo.

Only a 4 hour old thread and it is already into the dumpster fire.

Basically coming in rude won’t help a lot. These people didn’t write the game here, we play it. It more often helps us to know what you are stressing about. To most of us 3/10 means the 3rd mission out of 10. In the start up missions or career there are 4 sets of 3 out of 10.

  1. Entrepreneur
  2. Producer
  3. Soldier of Fortune
  4. Enforcer

Then later you expressed this;

Now I am confused too. As the career explorer only has 5 missions. No I have not done it years ago, I keep doing the career agents to simply assist others.

So in greater detail about the 3rd mission.

Easy way to scan down data sites is to launch your probes out to 8 AU. The probe launcher must be equipped and full of 8 probes. I scan the core system first by default. Next I drag the ring of probes to the out most planet and scan it at 8 AU, working my way in to the center, planet by planet. In the school systems, this works because they are very easy to probe. Once you have a data site to green 100%, warp to it or rather the acceleration gate.

Now once inside the system you won’t need weapons like you do for these later. Just head to the multiple ring structure and sit within 1000 m of it. Target lock the structure and use the disposable Civilian Data Scanner they gave you. Now this shows a very simple maze where you follow the numbers down 4…3…2…1 to your target. Personally I have seen better hacking mini games like those in Fallout are the best. This one you really can’t lose, until you do the real ones worth something. When you fail them later they just explode instead.

Hack successful? Good loot the box and leave back to dock. The next mission is the same but has you hack an old wreck.

Thank you for the laugh Mr. and/or Ms. Caps-Lock. 20 years old game? You don’t even have a basic understanding of an MMO and its expansions from the outside. Maybe you shouldn’t complain about the developers before you have complained about yourself first?
