The CNR has barely changed in the last 8 years or so. Missile damage got a big rework and players mostly reacted by changing to rigor/flare rigs, and then at some point they gave it an extra mid, 8 launchers, and an application bonus. pretty much just a great all around missile boat. The only problem I’d say is somewhat tight fitting.
navy scorp gets a 5% rof bonus so the dps comes out the same with BS 5, but the application is lower, and the missile speed is lower. Personally I’d take the navy raven 10 out of 10 times over the scorp. The application and missile velocity bonus are far more important to me than the one midslot, or tank bonus.
CNR vs rattle, I’m not 100% sure on this one, I don’t like the missile + drone combo on the rattler, but it can get so much more damage maybe it’s worth it. If you are brawling and can use heavies with torps or RHML well that’s probably where the rattler does best. Sniping at long ranges the sentries can be nice, but it takes forever for the missiles to get out there. and mid range has a bunch of micromanaging the drones and missiles. CNR isn’t my favorite ship either, but it’s pure damage and should have good application.

Oh she does. I can even kill frigates with torpedoes with that beauty.
Some do, some don’t. My Armageddon does just fine without blue or green mods. Maybe next year I can enchant some mod, I don’t know yet.
