Version 18.08 - General Feedback

yeah. to nondamage edencom ships …sure…

:red_circle: This is not an option anymore. CCP said players would have to take “difficult choices”. Now CCP finally any weeks too late followed through with one tiny step into that direction. Decide which side you want to be on and fight for that side. Neutrality is not an option.

The only thing that’s fudged here is that this was not the case from the start. Just typical #CCPQualityCoding and the notorious “We’ll watch and see how our crap development works out” strategy.

As long as the system where you gain one by killing the other then it won’t be an issue to just switch

:red_circle: Still crap but we will see how it goes. People will make even more mistakes if they have to switch back and forth between the two … and intentionally creating systems that make it too easy to commit mistakes is CCP’s go to way to make people lose things.

The only option we have right now

Hey it’s 10-1 now!

Way to go CalNavy NPCs, that’s 100% better than you would have done yesterday…

All the complaining about the em hole lol

Which didn’t help their damage application one bit. Read the whole argument about CalNavy pls.

The plural of spectrum is spectra.

A Spectrum is a continuum of items consisting of an ordered arrangement by a particular characteristic (such as frequency or energy) - in this case damage type.

“Multispectrum Energized Membrane” covers the full spectrum of damage types
“Thermal Energized Membrane” only one item out of that spectrum, namely thermal

No thanks

Thanks for yet another tericide it looks like a hell of a lot of work.

Difficult choice of playing other games? With each patch they make it easier to choose.

Yeah I learnt that with Rogue in Harry Pooter : spectrum, spectra.

You can’t have a “continuum of items” if you have 4 items, that is a discrete finite amount of items. To have a spectrum, you need to be able to merge two spectrum inside another one (eg average).
Also you don’t need the order.

but yeah I made a mistake and wrote “spectrum” instead of “spectrum values”.

:red_circle: I respect that choice and I congratulate you for actually making it. It’s the only way to tell CCP how wrong their development practices are.

:red_circle: Speaking of terrible development practices:

Instead of fixing these god awful ships, CCP peddles skins for them to us. And hideous skins on top of that. Way to go, CCP, way to go. These skins are not even blue yet they called them Bluestar Defender.

just go to my original post and klick the link to the dictionary i provided, clearly you didn’t understand my explanation, but i guess this debate is pointless annyways…

If the point was to get a more self explanatory naming convention they missed the mark - Adaptive is just as good for that purpose as the nonword “multispectrum” only now the word used doesn’t even make sense.

nah, spectrum is better. I already told you why.

to ADAPT means there is an evolution. There is no evolution in the modules used, so “adaptive” makes no sense there.

having an ability to change to suit different conditions

Yes, to adapt means something changes, i said it doesn’t make perfect sense but still more then having multiple spectra of the same thing, namely the continuum of existing damage types.
The spectrum of damage types is all of the damage types, the entire continuum of those items. “A” combination of different damage types is like the spectral lines produced by a certain molecule - a specific item out of “the” electromagnetic spectrum. There is no such thing as multiple electromagnetic spectra in physics and there is not such thing as multiple spectra of damage types in one game.

No walking in citadels yet?
