Yes, because we’d never see thousands of EVE players giving people bad rating just to be jerks, right?
Wait. What happened to incursions? I didn’t see anything besides a bug fix.
So, what’s up with that trailer? Are flight formations going to be a thing now, or am I misreading into things?
Never said it was a good idea! Just wanted to point out like some others have that this will be abused. I’m sure it wont be long now before we start seeing the end results in the forum.
There are significant undocumented changes in this patch to character creation:
- The removal of all race/faction ancestry (a legacy characteristic that used to give attributes once upon a time – e.g. “Activists”, “Mystic”, “Immigrants”)
- The select implementation/testing live on Tranquility of the new system where you choose “origin” instead of your race (Amarr, Minmatar, Caldari, Gallente)
- The removal of all bloodlines (“Achura”, “Deteis”, “Sebestior”, etc)
Why is this not being disclosed transparently to players?
EDIT: And why did this bypass any testing on Singularity?
your definition of pvp is hunting krabs?
The real question is: “How much did TIKLE pay CCP to be declared the epitome of victory?”
Everything will be abused. Always. It’s the nature of rules: they get abused as soon as humans are introduced.
The Icons are causing a bit of havoc especially within Signal Cartel, masses of BMs for wormholes and they look the same as the ship. There is a workaround but could this be made optional or something?
Please. Revert the jump animation! Extremely annoying and legitimately mechanically broken, and very ressource inefficient to top it off…
Heretic! You have uttered the sacred words of the Cheetoblob! Now you must be purged. How sad.
Bit more time in game, very much loving the new animation. Not sure I agree on it “increasing immersion” but it’s certainly snazzy. Also seems a mite quicker to load gfx on the other side, for me at least.
I also think a lot of the complaints over the lack of content in this initial release are a bit… over the top? I mean, I think by the end of last year everyone was a little punch-drunk from all the changes, so I can imagine people at the higher levels of CCP deciding to let things settle a little before ramping back into full speed changes.
We will see. End of the day, not much has changed for me in the last 24 hours of the game, and I was enjoying playing it yesterday sooooo…
All day at work I am chase by the red dot. Red dot on text app, red dots on email, red dots on Slack.
Red dot in a game?
Crack is whacked.

thanks , you have not only answered all of our questions, you have helped overcome long standing myths about how fleet formation and adverts work. Based on your input our standing fleets for alliance will be alliance only , thanks!
THIS.
So a genuinely disappointing patch then? Another one where you’ve seemingly ignored players and just gone for random stuff that doesn’t help the game at all…
Players don’t leave because the jump animation wasn’t cool.
Players don’t leave because fleets land in a random ball instead of some fancy formation.
Players don’t leave because the icons on your location aren’t clear or your home isn’t marked on the map.
Players do leave because it takes so long to get any good pvp content on a very small scale (1-5 people).
Players do leave because some areas of space are just broken (FW).
Players do leave because missions and pve is stale and gets boring super quickly.
Players do leave because of the terrible entry in to the game that forces you down specific routes like hauling, mining or missions which many people don’t enjoy.
If you released some actual content changes (do not read that as balance passes) and stopped pouring time in to things that really don’t matter that much, perhaps you’d get better feedback from the community than 150-200 negative replies here and several hundred more or reddit.
The problem with this is that these are activities that are enjoyable to many players, players who enjoy THIS TYPE OF GAME. It sounds to me like you are wishing EVE was something it is not.
Is it them or is it you?
Unfortunately it’s neither. Eve by its very nature has to appeal to a large range of players who enjoy different play styles. Some people love hauling. That’s cool. Some people live missions. That’s cool. Some people love pvp. That’s cool.
Unfortunately we’re in a position where not matter who I talk to be that hard core pvpers, hard core industrialists or hard core mission runners, non of them feel the game is heading in a positive direction right now.
i have said many times in posts that EVE has something for a wide range of interests. the utter nonsense that this is just a pvp game or that all miners are carebears is forum trash talk. This issue right now is that most of what CCP has done in the last year has taken something away from almost every group. friends have left the game or gone alpha. so when we get patches that dont offer any gameplay carrots, they fall flat even if successful. when they are flawed (bookmark problem) or loaded with things we didnt ask for or add tedium (clone bay) it just keeps pushing people away. we need a turnaround. soon
Oh the new jump animation is very cinematic but I will wait to see if people tire of it.
The real question is: While it’s going on, are you eating through your gate cloak timer? Or are you still on the old gate where you can be bombed?
