Version 19.02 - Known Issues

Should have been fixed for you today. Everyone is reporting back to normal in my alliance and myself. If you’re still impacted, would reccomend you open a support ticket.

I still have random disconnects since yesterday. Before that, none at all for a very long time. A coincidence?

It appears that the new ‘Disable Emergency Warp’ feature only works if you click the ‘Quit’ button in the Neocom. If you try to safe log (pressing the ‘Log Off’ button) with either the ‘Log off’ or ‘Quit’ radio button, the ship will be 1M km away from your log-off location and engage ewarp after you log back in. EBR-216108 has been filed.

EDIT: I just noticed that if you click the ‘Quit’ button and wait for the ship to be removed from space before you log back in, you will still spawn 1M km away from your initial log-off location and initiate ewarp back to it. Was this ‘Disable Emergency Warp’ feature only supposed to affect the ‘disconnection ewarp’ and not the ‘log back in after removed from space ewarp’?

I’m getting some graphics glitches.

  1. Fitting window shows ship partially unfitted when its fully fitted. changing ship doesnt work nor does session change. The modules appear on the HUD but not on the fitting screen.
  2. My capacitor on the HUD appears to be pulsing like its empty every few seconds. Hovering the mouse shows the capacitor and % as normal and all cap hungy modules work as normal.
  3. Clicking on a module to activate it doesnt always work. Module appears to be left clicked on but doesnt activate. Has to be clicked again.

Been through all you describe and it rehappens at some point after doing something in space and docking.

Also noticeable since the 19.02 update, “Authentication” takes longer, not as long as for Sisi, but one used to be barely able to see it.

There have been issues with “sticky” sound bytes ever since the Triglavians were introduced. I used to have these sounds following me around after leaving an emerging conduit, sound issues with the triglavian weapons, etc. They were reported, but never fixed. But they were never as bad as this gate “hum” that after a while becomes extremely annoying. Somehow this particular sound byte never gets deleted from the list of active “atmospheric” ones. I managed once to get rid of it following me into station, by zooming out at max (so you don’t hear it) right before docking. Haven’t tried it since to see if there’s a pattern.

EDIT: DON’T jump gates while zoomed out at max. It will eventually add a new noise that is far worse than the gate hum…

In any case, this hum becomes as pleasing as a dentist’s drill with me on the receiving end… :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Not sure but I’m under impression that it started following me after doing some Abyssal runs. Although now it appears and disappears in no apparent relation to those.

I haven’t done any Abyssal runs so in my case it wasn’t that.

I had a feeling it was the noise made by a gate when you’re in close proximity to one, just far louder than normal. Wadiest mentioned gate ‘hum’ and so in my case at least I think it was simply jumping through a gate.

It’s like certain sounds just get stuck and decide to follow you around. I had it during the Gala - the sound of the fireworks that you find when you warp to one of the Gala sites would follow me around the galaxy.

No doubt there’s an Abyssal sound that has this ‘get stuck and follow you’ feature too.

Indeed.

  • Changed the amount of volume music is ducked by when jumping from -96dB to -6dB.

Unfortunately this does nothing for the reported problem. I sincerely hope this isn’t going to be the same long wait as for the “No Sounds in Space” of last year…

I got the sound looping thing when I tried playing one account in fullscreen. I switched to fixed window and it stopped and hasn’t happened again.

Took only 6 gates in windowed mode to get the perma-hum AND it added a white noise to it.

My experience is most like the sound produced by deadspace acceleration gate (like those encountered in missions and combat sigs). And I can only say one more thing now, please rest assured the issue is under interactive investigation by CCP Support Center with at least one concerned pilot being involved. What may ultimately come out of it, remains to be seen.

It seems so. At least I had no e-warps after the DCs

So a few jumps out from Jita today and I have the perma-hum again.

Very loud. Very annoying.

UPDATE: Simple relog fixed it.

Changing between Fullscreen and Fixed Window made no difference.

Not sure if this is issue is known yet or not, but it seems there’s still no ancestry option in character creation. (Sarcasm)

…please add and expand lore/rp features, not remove them. Things like that add a lot of flavor to the game.

Lag and constant chat disconnects.

Relogging does nothing for me. Neither does a cold reboot of the pc and a fresh launcher/client session.
1st gate: no gate sound / no hum when arriving, faint hum after jumping, no hum during warp to 2nd gate
2nd gate: stronger hum when arriving, persistent after jump through gate, persistent during warp to 3rd gate
3rd gate: as before at 2nd gate
dock at station: hum persists and this other weird nose (some kind of irregularly pulsed white noise) on top of it.

The weird white noise like sound became persistent after I experimented in earlier sessions with zooming out during travels. It is now always accompanying the gate hum. This bloody sound has memory. Near unplayable now.

UPDATE: An Act of Desperation, ikr. After 40 jumps worth of testing it seems that with every jump a few dB are added on these persistent sounds. While not noticeable at the first gate it gradually builds up with every jump. At one point it even drowned out the UI Speech (which was set at 100%) with Atmospherics at 50%. Temporary relief can be obtained by unchecking and re-checking “Audio Enabled” (don’t bother relogging despite the warning, it does absolutely nothing in this case), but you guys already knew that, probably.

the Incursion filter in the old map is broken. It only shows dots for a portion of the constellation, not all systems.

Weird. I’ve had no problems at all with the sound after switching to Fixed Window and Interval One. I dunno then.
