CCP this new UI is crap. you turned something not god but useful in obnoxious, not user friendly piece of ■■■■.

A thought that I just came to me to improve sales for CCP: Why don’t we see the amount of SP a skill plan requires? This would make it much easier to plan the use of free SP, Injectors and package purchases.

Because they want to sell you outfits

Does anyone else kind of feel like this update is a bit, um… unfinished? It really looks like they just pushed the placeholder UI to production, this is unpolished even for CCP (which, in the 14 years I’ve played this game, is unsurprising). Conceptually I love skill plans and think they’re going to be really useful, but both the skill UI and the updated character sheet needed another sprint, I think.

it has 10 times the amount of scroll bar and the actual training queue is too short to spell out anything longer than “precurs”

You’re being sarcastic, right?

I wasn’t addressing Brisc Rubal the player, but Brisc Rubal the CSM rep - who can safely report to CCP the feedback on the new window is overwhelmingly negative.

Same thing here, but I had the portrait minimised already before the change so I assume thats it.

Skill que feedback: Maybe a compromise between the new and old? I get that it’s supposed to be new player friendly, but for a game with as much information needed everywhere, why are Extended Tooltips gone? Why is there so much wasted space? Why does it look like a tablet screen for a knockoff zombie slayer instead of a niche and layered complex space PVP and economy sim?

Just give us back the popup tooltips, I wont even care if they load over other things, just give it back the extended intuitiveness. Treat your players like adults.

And you do this with fewer skills on the screen at any given time which makes you scroll endlessly to find anything, forced alphabetization with no other sort options, and no way to rearrange anything at all that I can tell. Hmmm… Very susp… I mean interesting.

When we write up our master thesis we deal with professional publishers to press it…year 1998 … thats something they do manage the margins tables ect… they see these things correct it and make copies ready … they dont need our help to see these things its their job.

If we interfere and tell them how to do than they even get offended… because they take their job and reputation serious

Good job, you ignored the feedback of your community. :+1:

I dearly hope that there will be an option to toggle to classic character sheet and skills.

This UI is fundamentally flawed in its design, the most important part should be the one with more space, not the other way around.

The most important part of the Skill panel is the skill queue, it is that that players look the most at, then the available skills and then lastly the skill groups. Skill groups in the new UI have the biggest space but are actually the less useful part.

90% of the time when I add a skill to the queue is because I found it in the requirements of some item, the queue is the important part, I don’t give a shıt about skill groups.

Look at the old UI, it reflected this, the queue had the biggest area and the skill groups could be resized to become small icons if one wanted

On top of that I’d like to add that the blue plus or the red book in the catalogue are redundant information, I already know if the skill is learned or not from the shape of the 5 dots

You do realise that joke is even more distressingly accurate to those who speak proper English and use “pants” not to mean “trousers”?

@CCP_Dopamine Don’t say we didn’t warn you this would happen, ok?
It’s fine to say “oops, we made a mistake” but it’s not fine to be told you are making a mistake before you make it (and how to fix it in explicit detail ) and then do it anyway. You guys weren’t just warned, you were given highly detailed warnings by people who presented their arguments (including detailed and well made graphics) in utterly clear and unambiguous ways.
Someone even corrected the entire skill UI in MICROSOFT PAINT and did a better job of it than the people who made this thing. He used Microsoft Paint to outdo and outclass your UI/graphics departments or whoever it was you had make this thing. While I find his work really impressive (and shockingly funny) I think what’s more impressive is what he managed to show about UI design and how much help you guys need.

I’m lucky, a friend and I sat down and rebuilt our skill queues on tranquility after seeing the monstrosity you guys were asking for feedback on on the test server. Feedback that apparently went right over someone’s head. It’s too bad it wasn’t a little lower, it might have just taken it right off at the neck.

It’s really discouraging to watch what’s just happened here and while I didn’t have enough time to spend on the test servers going over this stuff this time, I don’t think I will ever go back. I see no point.
So, all this leaves me with two questions:
Why do you have a test server?
Why do you ask for feedback?

You just broke my brain.
As soon as I saw that I looked to see if N had been used for Z.

The test server exists to check if the live servers would explode if the patch were applied. Not to gather feedback, as you have learned.
