Version 22.02 - Revenant - General Feedback

All you need is hole control in a wh - thats key. then you dont need asset safety xD
ls & hs are no option for me - its bat space managed by npcs or/and concord.
and talking about that you tried living in null, its important to know that npc null is kinda pain. goons could tell xD
sov null is where i live - i am not alone serving the systems. i actually stepped back from it because this nonsense repetitive content like these mercenary dens alone takes a lot of time and noone wanted it. its worthless content. everything they did the last 6 months makes this ghame more annoying and repetitive as before in sov null- and its not even filling your pockets with iskies or your head with fun. its only to keep your workforce…so that things run in the few systems where you can actually do something. we cant even expand. because the system around us are complete ■■■■… no power and workforce aka dead space…

well - not all of them xD but thats what you need to be down here sometimes. its work - a lot of work - a lot of planning, organization and changing over and over again after almost every patch. those leaderships do eve as their business or at least 2nd job. and to have succes in their positions in such a game - i think you need to be like that. otherwise you couldnt handle 15k ppl in big alliances.

soo u saying i have to loose some other people time because i dont have 2 caracters , to scout a stupid ansiblex? or instaed of making money (ratting mining whatever) , or pvp or whatever i want to make in game i have to defend a ansiblex or scout it ( ansiblex = SOV upgrade), Let me tell how people are camping a ansi with 2 dictors and 10 t3 that are shooting from range , and goodluck to you trying to catch them , if they cant kill u they wont decloack ,ANSIBLESXES ARE NOW A DEATH TRAP

Couldn’t agree more. An ECM burst should be applied when you are surrounded by enemies, not while you’re at the center of your own fleet. What ship would you use to get inside a bubble of enemies? A fast frigate with small sig radius. Making burst jammers “not for frigates” is effectively removing them as a playable option.

Which is weird, as the game does have dedicated EWAR frigates.

on the one hand i agree ofc - you can smack/camp ansis without a real counter now. on the other hand i have to admit that playing in sov null with only 1 Account is crazy as well as scary xD
our corp - if you would apply - wants at least 2 omega - one account is solo yolo, its unplayable -
and actually 2 alpha accounts (not just toons) too - thats minimum requirement…
so its already crazy what you have to bring up to actually get things done here…

…build by yourself… thats the best part xD
Come to SOV Null and build your own traps - in your own space, driven by your own ppl xD
its so hilarious

Yes. No longer having a module that can break you free after being scrammed makes unplanned PVP even more one-sided than it always was.

making them more vulnerable to attacks is okay, they still got timers. Rendering them immediately useless with just any interdiction bubble is an over-the-top nerf.

i could understand that you can get trapped if the ansi campers explicitly tackle you. But, making it completely useless just by launching a bubble? Like, you’re on a hauling trip, get stopped by the bubble, but the campers are busy with your coalition’s response fleet, so you can burn to the ansi before they notice you. You click on “yes, i pay 30k”, and then - nothing. You’re a sitting duck in the center of the bubble and just wait to be killed.
Fun gameplay, really.

it’s called “sunk cost fallacy”. Like, in January, i paid nearly 100 to get enough PLEX for the “omega and MCT” deal, so the 3 pilots on my main account keep training skills well into next year.

That money is wasted if i don’t play those pilots. But if i keep playing them, but no longer have fun doing so, it’s not just the money that’s wasted, but my time, too.

i forgot something to mention - everything you need to do down here comes with a lot of trust you have to put in ppl. as a standard member without “manager”-rights you cant do much. the mercenary dens for example can only be managed by the one who placed it (not corp - not alliance - the character who placed it) - so there is also wierd stuff going on…

trust is the foundation here - and that makes things even harder - esi-gated or not.

That shows that you have no idea. You cannot hold hole control 24/7 and you cannot prevent hostiles bringing in a whole fleet while you are asleep. And the next day they might outnumber you 3:1, reinforcing all of your structure and forcing you to run a fullscale EVAC program that binds lots of your chars.

If you think about cooperation to get things done safely as lost time, YOU are probably not suited to be part of a group that wants to get things done. Simple as that.

sure, you alone are unable to hold it 24/7. but maybe wh space is not made for livinig in it alone  - i had to evacuate twice so far, but never had a real deep dive into wh mechanics. i was mostly in c2, so not big of a deal and today i am only using them to get faster from a to b.
If i would go alone into a wh - its not for staying too long. There are some multiboxer dudes making it their business to shoot down structures from smaller groups. They nerfed the EOS - i had to deal a couple times with them and their sentries. not sure whats meta now…

edit: they probably have one eos more now to compensate for the dmg nerf

Yeah that again shows that you have no idea what you are talking about. Even 200 man groups don’t hold Hole Control 24/7 all day long. It’s simply impossible to do since you have to sleep at some point or go to work and random incoming connections can spawn at any time. Total Hole Control is only possible for a very limited time, even the most hardcore WH groups can and will maintain that as most a few days in a row, for example in case of a full eviction.

And yes, the EoS “nerf” really didn’t hit hard and mostly didn’t achieve what it should have achieved (aka cutting the insane Sentry range down to other Commandship’s long-weapon range.)

but with 200 ppl you would be able to hold your ground, i guess ?
i mean - there are corps/alliances in wh space who actually do that. and im not talking about the big blocks in wh space who hold probably all of c5+ space

Seriously, why? This makes the change useless 99% of the times

It doesnt work like that. no amount of scouts can make you take the ansi alive any more if there is someone in the systems at both ends you dont trust.

Jesus… what are you even arguing? It doesn’t matter how many ppl you have, you cannot prevent that someone a lot stronger just comes to you and attacks you. Unlike in NS you have no asset safety or magic cyno teleporters to extract your stuff, you can’t see who is there, they can effectively block you from bringing reinforcements in, you can’t clonejump to your citadel and reship and so on… thats why Life in WH is by a huge margin more dangerous and difficult than in Null. Everything you get for free, WHer have to actually work for actively. Track connections, scout neighbors, hostiles directly next door every day, constant scanning and actively surveying holes for traffic. No automated intels or cyno umprellas, ansiblexes and an instarefreshing local to tell you who is around. And you really claim it is too hard to check if a goddamn Ansiblex is camped? lol.

The Ansiblex problem is not about scouting it, it is about having no counterplay.

Forming a gang that can fight them? And if not enough people are online, just not using the Ansiblex?
Wth, how can you be so entitled that you think you have a godgiven right to use this Ansiblex Gate anytime you wish freely if you can’t secure it by force? What do you think I have to do in a WH if I find my static hole camped by hostiles? Right, fight them off or not jump it and delay my trip. Really simple.

So, 90 days have passed

But the payout is still 22% of the hull value, not 70-75%

When will I finally be able to yeet my dread?
