Why spend 4 months and 14 days learning unnecessary skills when you really only need to learn the ship’s necessary skills in just over 1 day?!
This is a high-sec signature scanned in a bonused ship with faction probes/launcher, near-perfect skills, implants, and a scanning rig—yet at 2 AU it’s still under 20%.
Has scanning been nerfed, or has it always been like this?
Sounds like a ghost site.

Do you have all 8 probes?
It had happened to me before that somehow I lost 2 or 4 probes after I logged in. Then obviously scvanning is difficult without full 8.
I can scan everything with 4 probes. But I use RSS.
This is not a topic relevant to Catalyst release, though. Certification system has been in the game since 2009, and, yes, it has been mostly irrelevant at least since then. I believe the reason it’s there at all, is precisely because the newbies. Those skills are not just what you need to train to sit in a ship, but they’re all the skills that make piloting said hull more effective. So while you don’t need Mechanics V to pilot a Venture, it will benefit you.
Newbies get confused by most things in EVE. It means you need to learn and do your research on how to play the game better. Not come on the forums demanding game be changed because you got confused.
i have a new graphical issue now.
Some stations arent visible if i zoom in.
You can see the station like this
but if i zoom in this happens
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the little things—like the genuine variety in the acceleration gate models.
Can you explain this? What zooming out?
This is what a signature name looks like on my screen - the entire name is not visible on the map or probe scanner window
supposed to be a reply to @TiberianSun371AlexW
Ah I see. I used to just memorize the first few characters which screws me over every time there is an event.
We should be allowed to adjust the volume of the Mining Crumbling sound with something like ship effects or turret effects. Right now its bound to nothing. The only way to reduce the volume is by adjusting the master game volume.
Looks like the station owners didn’t give google streetview permission to display their property.
The info is not useless to those who understand.
Newbies just need to learn what it is about. And it looks like you should, too.
Does anyone know why this skin says “Limited Time” i assume its not going to become useless at some point? This only happens to boosters right?
Pardon the MSpaint.
If anyone is curius i am asking because i figured it would be a good idea to not keep items that will expire. But maybe this one wont. Peace.
Limited time skins exist. You get one during the NPE.
It is completely useless since they added it. And they added it with reasoning that it helps newbies. Which is total bulls. If anything it confuses new players even more.
I can’t imagine who would find that useful. Perhaps some not a new player, but a player that don’t understand the skill system and which skills are useful for which ship. But then, this mastery crap just lists tons of totallyy useless skills like Fuel Consumption or Sensor Compensation or even Industry skill and therefore leads such player into a noob trap to train those skills.
But it won’t go away, despite is is actually harmful to the game, devs spent a lot of time and money on it so they are not going to revert/retract it. They never do no matter how stupid the feature is unless waste majority of players complains. So far, we players were able to force them to revert only three things to my knowledge:
- remoal of the nullsec local
- red dots
- p2w energy turrent dps booster in one of the packages at EVE store
CCP is really bad in that they use that symbol for event based items. Some of which last until used, and other which are set to expire X amount of time after the event ends.
