Version 24.01 - Cradle of War - General Feedback

Found it…it is listed under Character Training, but not on the frontpage of the store.

Not sure if this is a bug or a planned change then.

Little late in the year for an Easter Egg hunt… Thanks for the head’s up.

Thanks for the info… Figures CCP/FC would make changes and hide the free SP’s with no notice to Omega players…

So now we have to jump through multiple hoops to get it, open NES, select ‘Services’ tab, then select ‘Character Training’ tab, then select the free Omega 15,000 SP gift, then select ‘accept’, then ‘Redeem’…

You can also just scroll down on the front page. It comes after the event skin spam. Still silly from CCP to push this after the event spam and not leave it at the top where it belongs.

What did you expect? Of course people will max out the efficiency of that stuff if allowed. And yeah, they can (and will) drop Dreads like Smarties into these sites.

I agree tho that the “Rampancy” system only makes sense if it either scales with the amount of stuff you bring (but then without limit), or is capped at some point (aka max Rampancy is 100, if players bring ships worth more points than that, the site despawns or something).

And yeah, having unlimited Sniper Ships at the edge is removing all challenge, in theory you can drop a blinged FAX into the site, let some Damnations orbit it just to soak up all the damage and keep the NPCs busy, and then you place your whole fleet outside of 100km and just snipe the whole thing. A pretty stupid design to create a challenging site concept which then can be tricked so easily.

I have so far ran the site 2 times, one time to level 100 with mutiple Dreads, Carriers, Marauders, Ishtars. One time with a Subcap Fleet of Battleships + Guardians. The first one of course payed a LOT better. The second one was way more interesting and challenging.

Here is a faction warfare idea that might be fun.

I scrolled through when i was searching for it, but didn’t see it…only in the submenu.

However then this could mean that the sorting function went broken…because “Price Ascending” surely should bring it to the top, which it didn’t.

This is an awful oversight and bug that makes the auto-targeting missile bonus of the Avalanche impossible to use in high sec and low sec space.

Given that this breaks a ship it’s a shame this still isn’t fixed.

I reported it ages ago.

Missiles have different mechanics than guns. Guns automatically hit, while missiles are objects with travel time.

Missiles also are removed from existence the moment the ship that fired it is destroyed or warps away. I do not know why that is, but maybe it could be changed.

This last behavior is why your missiles stop apppying when you give the warp command, unlike guns.

For more reasons than just this I would suggest you don’t give the warp command straight away, but align first.

You can still fight while aligning with either guns or missiles, and then instantly warp off when you give the warp commsnd once you are aligned.

If you fly like that you won’t notice the difference you mentioned while you’re trying to get into warp, besides that any missiles in flight still disappear the moment you warp.

Thank you, this was exactly what everybody was asking for since the beginning of time. The biggest problem in EVE has been solved. Excellent feature; please include it in the patch notes. I declare EVE bug-free. This was the last thing on the to-do list.

They don’t ‘fix’ that because it works as intended. And I have explained why…

How is it ‘working as intended’ that an Avalanche with auto-targeting missiles is not able to use those weapons to fire back at their attackers in low sec and high sec space while these attackers are killing them?

No matter the explanation, the outcome that these weapon bonuses are unusable is ridiculous.

The expected behaviour is that you could fire back at anyone who is shooting you.

This is impossible, unless you first activate an offensive module against that player which an Avalanche as hauler is not likely to have.

I understand the limits, and think these limits are awful and unintuitive, a bug in need of fixing even if ‘intended’.

Even if it probably won’t save the ship an Avalanche equipped with missiles should be able to fight back while going under.

This is a pretty good FW idea. Anyone else think so, I think it would add to the game.

i wish you were able to scoop up or attack abandoned probes in space like drones

Start up attempt 1 failed successfully.
Start up attempt 2 failed successfully.
Start up attempt 3 in progress.

still not working here

these are the things i’d like CCP(whatever) to fix…

I just want to provide general feedback on the Cradle of War

  1. There should be no way for all four empires to achieve their win conditions
  2. The Amarr Win and Lose results are lower taxes for six months or three months. Who actually cares. All other empire wins are permanent but the amarr has a time limit. Nobody cares which is why nobody is doing the tasks for the amarr
