Version 24.01 - Cradle of War - General Feedback

I guess that is a problem with it, but it was ever thus with EvE releases.

I think the sensible option is to not give a tinker’s cuss.

What is this icon?

I think its Aura AI guidance or something

Why does the Scimitar have a bonus to its Remote Tracking Computer if no one uses it? If you install it, the ship will have too little EHP compared to other Logistics ships. To fix this, I suggest moving the 1 low slot to the middle one. Also, since there’s no rig to reduce Remote Shield Booster consumption, I suggest reducing the Remote Shield Booster activation cost by 17.5% per skill level. This way, people will use the Remote Tracking Computer.

That question makes no sense. The ship has a certain bonus, if people want to use it is up to them. The ship doesn’t get a bonus because people want to use it in a certain way.

You don’t have to compare different ships and fittings to other ships and fittings that are used in totally different circumstances.

For a small piracy hit&run gang, flying the ship with 2 shield extenders, 1 invul and 1 Remote Tracking Computer will be absolutely enough tank. It doesn’t have to match the tank of a Basilisk or Guardian that needs to survive in much larger fights.
But imagine what it does to the performance of a bunch of ships that are usually shield tanked but have problems hitting targets… cough Arty Sleipnirs… cough. They begin to simply obliterate stuff with a +50% Tracking Bonus.

Conclusion: The bonus can absolutely be useful, but the niche where it shines is very very small.
I personally like the option and I don’t see the Scimitar underwhelming in the general EVE Environment. For smaller, faster engagements, they already is clearly better than a Basilisk.

Silphy (or Filthy as I like to call her) is the governor of the Poitot Syndicate station and influential enough to serve as the unofficial leader of the Intaki Syndicate. In 2026, she was accused by the Caldari government (which had made the Syndicate their protectorate in 2022) of orchestrating a plot that led to the extortion of Caldari funds and the murder of Caldari citizens, and she was arrested as a result. We don’t know what happened to her either in general.

And I agree, it feels really theme-parky, which normally isn’t EVE’s style at all. It’s quite the opposite.

As usual everything just peters out. I was looking at the webpage describing the four empires. It still has the old moo instead of Catiz as Emperor and pudding bowl as the Gallente president. And yet we’re supposed to care about the mounting tensions between the empires? Sort of pathetic.

Since when is there a 3-4-minute delay between saving a bookmark into a shared folder and users other than the character who added it being able to use it?

Always been a delay for me…?

It’s like that since the new bookmark system is in place.

Really? I wonder what the logic behind that was. To simulate the old warp-to-station-drag-and-contract-bookmark? Well, obviously this was the first time I tried to use it immediately after saving it.

The person who saved it can always use it immediately. But other Fleetmembers have a delay.

I don’t know the exact reasoning, I can only imagine they want to prevent fast ships from following an opposing fleet and bookmarking their location at range (a wreck, a roid, a container, a structure…) and warping away before they can be tackled/killed. At the moment, the fleet can only warp to their scout as long as he is able to stay there. And only to him directly. But not on any bookmark he made in the middle of the hostiles.

We’re making several adjustments to Insurgencies, turning them into more of a chaotic race where both sides look to win instead of focusing solely on maximizing the payout from the sites themselves.

To that end, we’re redistributing some of the value from the individual sites into the overall reward for winning the Insurgency,

Just revert the insurgency back to how it was. Soon as a system reaches level 5. all plex spawning ceases. You guys talk a big game about doing this and that to make it all about completing the insurgency. increasing bonuses to ■■■■ i never existed like ‘winning, or loosing an ‘insurgency’’ Nobody does that. Further your changes are far to tiny and do nothing. o wow ice ref down 10k, oh hey remember the khiz? yeah theres finally a plex now for it. Only been out a few years.

And where is the god damn promised campaigns for insurgency that are going to increase standings? Yeah remember that from 8 months ago? “we ccp will nerf the awoxing with standings that matter we gonna be putting in stuff to increase standings.”

ANGEL STILL NOTHING. STILL 0.001 STANDING INCREASE PER PLEX. Do you job. I cannot believe im paying for this.

After Patch 24.01 2026-09-22.1 I notice the emergent defender frigates of a c3 WH combat site now orbit at something like 7,650m instead of the previous 6,500m. This feels like a minor change but pushes the orbit range outside of large faction smartbombs which seemed to be the normal way that a battleship class ship would handle these smaller frigate rats. Given the cost of the smarbomb modules I don’t believe this nerf was needed.

I understand that Caldari engineers are the dumbest when it comes to configure missiles bonuses to their ships, and for years the damage bonus was locked to kinetic, when all Amarr missile ships (except Purifier) do have damage bonus to all damage type, and Minmatar having only one or 2 locked to explosive. So to see the Hawk and Cerberus finally having their kinetic lock removed is VERY welcome, and I was happy when reading the patch notes. At least, until I saw the bonus for the Cerberus being dumb down to 2.5%.

I understand that the Caldari, again, being the dumbest with configuring missiles to their ships, needs to have more launchers than their Amarr and Minmatar counterparts in order to make up for their lack of intelligence in developing decent bonuses. So I thought maybe the very low 2.5% damage bonus per level to missiles on the Cerberus was because of the extra launcher compared to the Sacrilege. Surely, or at least I guess, the Cerberus probably have the advantage over the Sacrilege when it comes to missile damage alone (assuming no drones, and no extra turret for the Sac).

So, I went to the fitting window and tried this basic fit, with highs and lows only.

Well, the Sacrilege beat the Cerberus, 843.2dps vs 758.9dps. That’s a 11.1% advantage, before drones. (I do have RL-1005 implant on that pod)

With their drone bay fitted, the difference would obviously be greater. Because, again, the Caldari engineers being the absolute dumbest with technology, they can’t figure out how to have a hull appropriate drone bay and bandwidth (like the Minamatar does, despite being the other faction not known for drone bonuses).

Anyway, I’d say this is still progress for the Caldari engineers, as they finally overcame their issues with non kinetic missiles.

From today’s wormhole changes:

Replaced many Large Collidable Objects with Non-Interactable Objects to reduce overview clutter.

I hate this on first read. It sounds like it’ll make it a lot more difficult to warp in on a target, especially for solo hunting where precise range is pretty important.

You forgot that Cerberus has more average slots, which can greatly affect the outcome of the battle. In addition, Cerberus has more CPU, which again can affect the outcome of the battle.
Although it’s possible that something has changed during the 7 years of my absence and now the emphasis is on DPS, then Cerberus will lose.

Here I compare the Cerb with the Sac, and they have the same amount of total slots.

The Sac can use a turret if the pilot wants, and again, the drone bay is part of the equation when fully fitted. They obviously have their specificities, and that’s why I did my best to compare apple with apple with only highs and lows. The Sac might very well be fitted with only 2 ballistic control, for armor reasons, but then one of the rig can be used instead for damage. But again, I didn’t want to compare orange and apple, so I fitted them similarly, only with highs and lows.

What happened to the Paladin’s speed gain? Why is it so slow after the update?
I’m waiting almost 7 minutes to go to Warp =)

It picks up speed like a Titan =)

152 seconds to warp and gain speed  . Other Marauders have 15 sec.
