I’ve been hearing about the old code since 2017.
Since then, nothing has been done with the missions.
We can’t add new interesting missions because the code is old.
We cannot make new COSMOS agents because the code is old.
We can’t do this or that like the old code.
I’ve been hearing about if from 2009. Yes there is content that was old even back then.
They needed ~15 years to implement a resizable cursor. That should tell you enough why they won’t touch real ingame content of that time if it isn’t absolutely nessessary. They rather implement new content, like Abyssals, Burners, Pochven etc…
Maybe AI makes it easier in the past to scan the old code - which is obviously badly documented in some parts - for options to change/remove it without crashing the game.
Are you saying that even starting with the addition of “Burner,” they can’t add missions like Blockade or Sansha’s Phantasmagoria? Create new missions against a faction like EoM (at the moment, there’s only 1 level 4 mission against them).
What about the Abyss. This is quite interesting content, but for me personally it is not suitable for me because it is limited in time.
Sure they can “add” new missions. I even think they have done a few times in the past. It just isn’t very high on their priority list, because getting more new content into the game probably looks more promising to them.
Tbh, I have always asked myself why they don’t “outsource” the design part. Many games have launched “Map Editors” where players can create maps/missions for the game and then hold yearly contests, the best ones make it into the game. Free promo, usually great design outcome, very little effort for the developer…
Strange how most everything was created using the old code yet CCP has no problem in changing Skyboxes, System locations, Planets, Moons, Jumpgates, Stations, Ships, Modules, NPC’s, Resource / Combat Site’s, game mechanics, etc…
So yeah, using the excuse of not being able to do it because of ‘Legacy Code’ is BS…

I completely agree with you.
The mission visuals have also been simplified. I still can’t understand why this was done in 2018.
Here’s how it was in 2017:
Notice how the Sansha’s Station is hidden under small asteroids, one might say they are camouflaged to make it harder to find, they are still pirates.
And here’s what it is now:
This screenshot from 2026 is the same place as in the 2nd screenshot from 2017.
Feel the difference. ![]()
Looking at CCP’s design tools for players, like SKINR, this would be a hot mess. CCP would actually have to put effort and dev hours into the tool so that players could create good missions. I do not see that happening in a hundred years.

Forgotten Frontier Recursive Depot - warp in at 0 and get decloaked by damned roids! Just wonderful design!
was gonna hurf ‘n’ blurf, but then I recalled I dont pay and play eve no more, so meh…
But you collide with the NIOs. This is the most hilarious part about the replacement of the LCO with NIOs. Complete bonkers.
I think Muninn should also be included as a third reference point when comparing the Cerberus and Sacrilege.
Looking only at Cerberus vs Sacrilege can give a somewhat misleading picture, because both ships have different strengths and weaknesses. Muninn gives us another missile HAC with a different set of trade-offs.
It would be interesting to compare realistic PvP fits for all three ships using the same criteria:
- applied DPS at 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 km
- missile range and application
- EHP and active tank
- speed and mobility
- mid/low slot utility
- CPU/PG fitting pressure
- ability to control engagement range
- realistic damage output rather than maximum EFT DPS
Exactly what gave the idea for the meme. Those things literally check all boxes of LCOs, but are removed from the category on purpose!
Question. Is Multiboxing allowed for suicide ?
Is this already being practiced ?
LOL, why did they have to remove it ?
there should be a higher chance of commander spawns in refuges compared to hideaways
the main question is - how can it decloak you when warping to it @100km
is there another thread that is discussing these war dec changes?
warrping to an anomaly, with a big roid taking about 25% of all 100km vectors - no surprised you may get decloaked.
Getting decloaked by a roid warping to a site at 0 - now that was surprising
