War decs should cost 10m additional isk for each outgoing war

They already did that more than enough by making structures a requirement to be decced. Really corps without structures should be able to be decced too because there are economic reasons to do so. Look at all those herds of orcas sucking the belts in safety without a structure in their corp. They need war yet now they are immune. Wars need to be easier to declare not harder.

In that case,

The mega hisec wardec coalition breaks up into smaller corps? Then it will have achieved much. Fragmented, they’ll no longer be such an overpowering force. If they try to trick the system by still playing together, warring the same targets, they’re just going to have to pay for the wars multiple times, for each corp they use. Fragmenting isn’t going to allow them to cheat this.

How dare those 20 people place a structure in hisec without being able to defend against 500 seasoned mercs. They were too stupid to realise a structure was beyond what they were allowed to have. Stupid dumb people. Should have known they needed 500 seasoned pvpers in their corp so they could stand a chance against the mega hisec wardec coalition.

What makes you think they cant afford that?

Or just open the war to allies?

Do you know how wars work? They can’t open up a war they initiated to allies.

Ok Ill make it simpler for you

How does that mean they cant afford it?

How does that mean they cant join in?

If I dec you and get my other corps to dec you, as long as I have the isk what is stopping me allying?

Trick what? Cheat what? What are you even talking about.

What exactly is being cheated?

Trust me, youve only made yourself look worse.

No, ■■■■ off.

Actually, make wardecs free. People that want safety already have ways to achieve that.

Here’s another thing for people who think 20 man corps shouldn’t be allowed to have structures in hisec since they can’t defend against mega wardec hisec alliances. People like Solonius Rex.

The mega hisec war alliance doesn’t even care about killing that structure generally. Because that works against their interests. They care about more targets. So they’ll war dec the 20 man corp so they can freely kill their members and won’t touch the structure. Sometimes they do, for a reason, but not usually.

The system that says the corp should be able to fight back by killing the attackers war HQ is entirely broken. The average small corp can’t fight back against a 500 man alliance of seasoned pvpers.

Another idea would be to have a formula which works like this: The higher the number of players in the attacking corp/alliance, the more the war costs. Especially so when there is a large number of players in the attacking corp/alliance and a small number in the defending corp/alliance. So a large alliance or corp declaring war on a small corp would pay the highest fees. The formula would set so that splitting into five smaller merc corps and issuing 5 sets of war decs would not make things cheaper. Rather the 5 sets of decs it would be the same over all cost as the single dec if they had stayed together.

Anything which encourages the hisec wardec alliance to split up into smaller corps is a good thing. A mega hisec wardec alliance dec group attacking anyone and everyone they feel like = bad for the game.

The entire point of the changes I suggest are to make it not cost effective for massive numbers of players to war dec small corps and to reduce the number of smaller and newer corps being war decced by these massive seasoned merc alliances.

Doesn’t matter. You already have it on easy mode by simply not anchoring a structure and you are immune. The same rule applies to risk/reward. You want the reward of using a big boy toy, then you get the risk of using it, AKA war.

Your strawman completely undermines any valid point you were trying to make.

Just because YOU choose not to survive a war, doesnt means others cant.

Blah blah. My case is solid. CCP will take notice at some point, as they did before. Changes are needed because having one mega alliances of mercs killing all the people in hisec who dare own a structure is not good for the game.

The wolves always eventually chase away the sheep. That’s how it always goes in this kind of game. An alliance of 500 seasoned vets chasing away sheep enmasse (1650+ war decs so far this year). Not good for the game.

It is only asked that it is made not cost effective for the mercs to continue targeting the weakest players, who are not worth a billion isk war dec fee.

You havent brought anything but emotions to this.
You have been unable to provide any direct evidence of your claim, any suggestion that would solve the problem you claim to have identified, and are at the least disingenuous about your reasons.

Even if you were being honest, Ideas and Features would be the correct place to post, not here.

No you are wrong my friend. I’ve brought nothing but facts.

So where are these facts?

Read the thread, find my posts. There they are.

Why are you arguing anyway? What is the purpose of your posting? The change I suggest would only have an real effect on those who are maintaining 100 odd war decs

CCP Larrikin might just have a thing or two to say to you, putting his own words into perspective. The article does not quote him. He apparently told the CSM that activity doesn’t pick up again post war. No reasons given in the article, but you fill in the blancs apparently.

I am certain that CCP does not want hisec to be a place to amass wealth limitlessly and unchallenged.

You are only correct in that sense that it may be hard on a rookie to cope with wardecs, if he’s stuck in such a corp. There are many ways out, like @Ramona_McCandless already mentioned with a holding corp. If rookies start asking the right questions, they may get some very useful answers and learn something. Demanding to nerf is not a reasonable suggestion in an environment that ALWAYS offers escapes. “Think of the children” is only good for ccp’s income, not for the actual game.

Most of us like EvE because of the freedom it offers. Take away good chunks of it and we might as well play real life and save on subs.

Except it wont.

You want CCP to again change a mechanic that, in your view, failed to do what it was meant to do.

I and others have been trying to explain to you that you dont need to beg CCP for the change, its already ludicruously easy to make a war declared on you in highsec have zero effect, and thats not including the easiest of all ways.

Youve been asked if this is about a dec on you, and avoided the question. Youve been asked if the decs you are looking at are on corps with inactive stations, and youve avoided the question, and youve been asked about why if 96% of wars dont result in a kill, why people leave and you avoid the question.

Are you actually wanting to discuss this or not?
