Well, apparently you can't get 1000 killmarks

And a hel vs any single subcap isn’t completely one sided?

Congratz. I hope to read the update on what the 1000th killmark looks like.

@CCP_Falcon ^^

If a subcap purposely engage an Hel, the capsuleer is dumb beyond compare. That’s not the Hel’s fault, that’s the man mad enough to engage the 4km long space schlong ^^

He baited with a smaller ship then cynod in the help. That’s way different then engaging it head on.

In that case, yes, it’s not a true solo fight, eh.

exactly,
Caps and supers where originally envisioned to be ships that REQUIRED subcap support to be effective. Granted, the game has changed and I don’t think thats inherently a bad thing. but in response to the way the cap and super meta has changed I don’t think its unreasonable to have an area of space that is dedicated to subcap combat, and low-sec seems like the perfect place for it.
Making low-sec a strict no cap/super zone would make redeploying an even bigger PITA than it is, and the big fights make headlines. Making it so they can travel through low but not fight allows them to still be redeployed for null combat, and means you need to make a choice, do you take the longer route around through potentially hostile space and risk getting dropped by caps. but maintain the ability to fight. or do you send them through the faster and more direct route in low, but need to rely on a strong sub-cap fleet to keep them safe.

Frankly, the only downside I can see to it is for the low-sec super campers. but given they are a relatively small group, and all the potential up-sides for both low-sec content, and null content. I consider that a fair trade.

I don’t know, I’d call what OP did an achievement, even if the kills were against little ships. If they engaged when they shouldn’t have, their fault. If they didn’t want to be engaged, they shouldn’t have been in low sec. And there’s the fact that when a fleet of low sec locals see a big shiney ship, they get all drooling from the mouth and the Daemon of KB Greed comes over them and scrambles their senses.

The guy may have a gimmick going, it works and its within the rules. That Hel is a tasty target, if he messes something up-- well, low doesn’t always have just little ships around.

He did not risk much, with zkillboard infiltration tool, considerable backup I suppose, and being in Hel.

Yes, NS, that’s likely very true. I suppose I mean, to have come up with a formula for getting 10k kills with one ship in Eve-- that required some cleverness. May not that much bravery, but plenty of cleverness and probably a good amount of work. Eve has always considered that kind of manipulative gameplay fair and admirable. Unless any of the kills were from farming throwaway alts.
