u changed the game from when i was on here 6 years ago and you are to much about killing when the game is mineing and industery
Calm down miner…
Mining and Industry can only work if there’s destruction.
Stuff has to be destroyed in order for the mining and industry to have any point. If nothing was ever destroyed then your pile of ore would daily fall in value more and more….as there’d be so much ore about that it would become worthless. It is ONLY the limited supply of ore that creates a scarcity level that gives it value.
EVE is generally a self balancing system. There has to be destruction for the market to make any sense. Every time you sell your ore you are relying on that destruction in order to get a good price. There’s the irony !
You have a very poor understanding of what this game is about. I would explain but your low effort criticism really doesn’t deserve it.
You came to a open world sandbox PvP game and expected no PvP?
I think the problem exists between your chair and keyboard.
mate.. Eve has been a pvp game since it started. Not changed in the 20 years I’ve play it.
the entire New Eden industrial system is based on ship replacement, the vast majority needed because of pvp.
6 years ago, this game was very much about PVP and destruction, just as much as it is today, and even 20 years ago. This is a PVP game with mining and industry as a core part of the game.
What is getting players killed good for?
Salty threads like these, for one.
Times have changed but one thing is constant:
If you are not making content you are the content.
CCP can’t really tell players what they can and cannot do outside EULA. It’s an open sandbox where you can choose your own path. Everyone has that freedom. Just like you have the freedom to choose to do mining and industry, other players have the freedom to do hunting, killing, stealing, if that’s their thing.
As for the game having changed – I was here 6 years ago and I don’t detect a major difference in terms of more PVP being in the game than back then. I’d say it’s about the same. But I’m sure it feels different after returning from a long break. It’s possible the quiet little corner of space you inhabited back then is not so quiet anymore. If that’s the case, you might just have to find a new home.
Players getting killed is good for -ME-
Hello, @Rockie63 I hope you are enjoying the game. I am.
What is all that destruction good for you ask? It’s good for the Market.
An old friend of mine once told me: “If in doubt, always follow the isk.”
It is basically good for everyone except you when your ship blows up.
It’s good for the person who blew up your ship, it’s good for the industrialists who make ships and modules, it’s good for the traders who flip items, it’s good for the miners who harvest raw materials, it’s good for whomever you compete with for resources, it’s good for forum-goers and redditors who get to have a chuckle at your expense, etc.
