What is the game missing most

that’s not a source that says that

, which is what I am asking for.

Yes indeed, it changed them making people leave.

unrelated, you are oversimplfying the problem, thus making it wrong ; but making a stupid claim makes a stupid argument. The claim from CCP, was that wardecs as they were, had a very bad effect on the retention (of new players ?) . It was never that removing it would make the activity increase. Going from one to the other makes no logic sense.

Also that’s not what you asked. You asked why the people who had left because of wardecs, had not come back when they were removed, in this post :

That doesn’t mean they are right.

So you say the reason for the change was retention. But the purpose of the change was completely unrelated to retenrion?

Ok… :upside_down_face:

Why are you making me say things I did not say ?
Do you need to be that a liar ?

“the purpose of the change is to increase retention” is not the same thing as “the purpose of the change is to increase activity”.

I know that logic is not your thing, but trust me, those two sentences are completely unrelated, logically-wise.

Snicker.

Player activity is unrelated to player retention. Gotcha.

Well obviously too much PVP focus is bad for a game today…we loose players rapidly…

And those are not PVP players…

So…

May the last PVP Player here turn off the light because this is what you will get for a continued unwanted PVP focus.

And that’s a spoiler…

you making stupid asserts does not make you less stupid.

Insults aside…

What the game is missing most is purpose.

I had both short and long term goals within a couple of months of starting to play. Short term was to kill as many Goons as possable as efficiently as possible! (Grrr Goons :rage:  ) Long term was to get into a cap ship. A big goal at the time. Now you cant kill Goons and thanks to skill injectors, everybody can fly a cap ship in how long now, 10 min?

Meh, it is what it is…

Edit; We got a application from someone who said he wanted to join a “laid back corp”. To “me” anyway, EVE is not a laid back game. You need to bite the game or be a target.

You sound like the douchebag bitter vets that this game is famous for. Never wanting the game to change even when for the better.

You should take a break from Eve man, realize theres life outside.

That’s the kind of mentality that drives player away. This game can be played however you want. Once a week, once a month, every day.

It’s a SANDBOX game, maybe you need to understand what that means.

I understand what that means. 50k avg to 30k if were lucky.

Neither you nor the OP has actually explained how this is “better”, or what it’s “better” compared to.

Why don’t you try answering that issue first?

“Your particular idea is stupid and you should be ashamed of yourself” and “all change is unacceptable” are not the same thing.

We are at 20k.maybe lower atm…

Don’t believe the economic reports look it up yourself at different times of the day…always lower than even 25k…

Actual it’s 18k.

Yes it is…because the reason to say this is the same…

‘No change i don’t like please’…

“Most people are wrong then”
Seriously, you guys argue like religious zealots.
“My religion is the truth and everybody else is wrong!”
Eve is a fine example of what happens when people ain’t forced to participate in such a community. I’m done with this topic. So long as there are players like you guys who back away anyone that steps outside your arbitrary boundaries of definitions, you guys will at best see eve stuck.

Fanboism. Or just game meaning so much for those people. That is usually why people dont change their beliefs. Emotional investment is too stronk.

Cant be helped. Even CCP doing what they can to make EVE stand on its head. Game changing, players staying, arguing, but staying.

Railing against dumb ideas is not the same as demanding that things stay the same with no change at all, that’s a misrepresentation of what others have said.

In your particular instance your proposed changes attack the nature and reputation of the game, and you’re so damned sure of yourself that the possibility of your ideas being dumb is impossible for you to even contemplate.

Here we have the true misinterpretation…

Not THE game will die…just THEIR game(that of the no changers)

And yes…in that definition chain i am totally and absolutely right…

It’s the same…
